 Japanese Oh Ranger and Zura Ranger, is the best super hero series ever!!!September 4th 2008 03:26
Ok, for those who don't know, two of the greatest Japanese Super Hero series that was been remade by the US was the Oh Rangers and Zura Rangers. Which are the forfather, of the US Super Hero series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Zeo Power Rangers.
Just like any movies, the original is way better then the US remake. Unlike, the US version of the Power Rangers, who is basically all base on the exact same simple and similar story line and put their main focus on the fighting scenes and power robot combat, the Japanese version is much more drama base. The characters of Oh Ranger and Zura Ranger are way more colourful then the US version and it has a extremely complicated story line of human emotions. In Zura Ranger for example, Rita (Who is the evil witch in the US series), was originally a good witch of White magic, drove to insanity by the murder of his son and turn to the power of the demond god Lord Zack. Rita was been defeated by the five tribes of Smaurai warriors, led by Prince Geki. Geki locked Rita and his demons into a chest from outer space. What was left of Geki and the rest of the five tribes of Samuraies went into hybernation, guarded by a white wizard, in case of Rita's return. 
When Rita returns 5000 years later, Geki and his four lieutenants returns and become the Zura Ranger. Later onwards in the show, Geki's jealous brother returns from his five thousnad year sleep and the war went into a triangular shape between the Zura Rangers, the Green Ranger and Rita. Eventually, the Green Ranger and Rita join force to defeat the Zura Ranger. After destroying the Zura Ranger's Magazord, the Green Ranger turn to Rita and quickly defeated her entire army and almost killing Rita herself. The Green Ranger, called upon the power of the Mighty Dragonzord, to conqure earth. However, in the Japanese version, the Magazord is really a robot pocessed by the spirit of five gods and the gods soon brought the Magazord back to life, took control of it and defeated the Dragonzord. In the same time, Geki went into combat with his brother the Green Ranger, but in the end, the Green Ranger was not able to put himself to kill his brother and the spirits the gods who pocess the Magazord, showed mercy on the Green Ranger and gave the Magazord's command back to the Zura Rangers. The Green Ranger is dying and his life was been sustain by a candle and everytime he uses his super power, the candle burns out quicker. In the end the Green Ranger once again used his super power to save the Zura Ranger's life, but also burned out the candle and die. In the end Rita saw the spirit of her son and remeber who she once were. Out of shame Rita locked herself and her band of demond warriors back inside a chest and was been thrown back to outer space. 
Oh Ranger on the other hand was made much later. It was about the invasion of earth from the so call machine empire, that has already conqured thousand of star system. The Machine Empire's army was quick to defeat both the United States and France and then lunch their attack against Japan's Tokyo. The urgency of the situation, forced the United Natation to take radical meassure against the situation, to lunch the Japanese Airforce's last but ulitmate weapon, the Oh ranger. The Japanese military soon picked four Lieutenant Samuraies from the Japanese Airforce, under the command of one of the best Generals of the Japanese AirForce and one of the PrimeMinister's best politician, to become the the Oh Rangers. I got the first episode of the Oh Ranger here on this blog. Check it out, it is even better then the Japanese monster movies or the Power Rangers, seriously PS: Oh Ranger contain Strong Violence, Super Natural scenes and Some Horror, I will give it a (M) rating, not suitable for children under the age of 15. Anyway Enjoy

So which Power Ranger do you recogn, I should use for my next posting pic? Is it 
A. Red Power Ranger
B. Blue Power Ranger
C. Black Power Ranger
D. Green Power Ranger
or E. White Power Ranger
Ok, I am not sexist or something. It is just that I am a guy so I thought I'll use a male Power Ranger. I really like the yellow and pink ranger, as well. Cheers

The former soap star Jason Smith who played Robbie Hunter on "Home and Away", is now taking on the role as a character within the newest "Power Ranger" series.
Smith is now playing the role of the Red Power Ranger, within the US "Power Ranger" series "Power Ranger Jungle Fury", which came on air around Feburary 2008
