Spread the skirt out down below.
Line the village shoppes up in a row.

Now, plug it in and watch it shine-

My Not-So-Happy Fourth of July

The burgers are burnt.
The cole slaw is runny.
This Fourth of July
isn't so fun-ny.

But, it's better than last year's
when Grandma came
and kept calling me Sam,
which isn't my name!

And dad set
the neighbor's house ablaze
when, with his fireworks,
he tried to amaze.

So, guess I'll sit here
and sip warm root beer
and hope that the Fourth
is perfect...next year!
