THE TRUTH ABOUT SIBLINGS

I have 3 brothers and one sister, or should I say, 3 half-brothers, and one half sister. My mother had 2 boys and my father had a boy and a girl when they were married. I belonged to both of them. My sister and I love each other very much, but we don't see each other often. I have one brother who moved permanently to Texas this past winter. He is on dialysis for 4 hours every day.
One of my brothers lives near me and we get along good, the other day I took him in for a Colonoscopy. The doctor found a tumor that may be cancer. So that's 2 sick siblings. My family-husband, son, brother who lives near me and myself, are going across the Mackinac bridge to see my other brother. None of us has seen him for quite some time.
I don't know where the time went, but it certainly flew by.
I love each and every one of my siblings and it breaks my heart that I haven't seen most of them in years. I have no excuse, really, except that I was busy making a living and raising a son on my own until he was 9, when I met my wonderful SO.
I'm not trying to be a downer or say - boo hoo, poor me. I am not in the best health myself, but I hang in there, and if my brother does have cancer and he needs to be taken care of, I will be the first to step up.
Now is the time for me to travel and mend a few fences, to see those people that I haven't seen in quite some time. Have any of you been estranged from your family? Tell me your experiences.

Mum's Word
I have 1 brother (12 years older) and 1 sister (9 years older). I really felt the age gap growing up and now that we are all adults it still rears its ugly head from time to time.
I always wished I had siblings closer in age...and more of them. I like variety.
Love & stuff

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
The Whole Truth
I too have felt alienated from my siblings in the past. I think, for the most part, some of them have been jealous because I was 'The Baby'.
I always wondered what I did wrong, but I can't keep dwelling on it, and they don't seem as indifferent and cold as they were.
Thanks for the post, Hope to hear from you again.
