The Tonight Show WITHOUT Jay Leno?!
I was just reading this on CNN.com and it kinda makes me sad. I always watch those three -- Jay Leno, David Letterman and Conan O'Brien but if i'd have to rank them Jay Leno would be the first and Conan last.
To be quite honest, I find some of Conan's antics and one-liners to be trying too hard and Jay Leno's come quite naturally. I'd say those are gonna be big shoes to fill. I used to really watch Jay Leno every night especially since they play it here on cable just about 12 hours late so it's not bad.
My favorites then were Thursdays (or is it wednesdays?)-- the Headlines. I always kept thinking about sending a lot of funny headlines or posters I've seen or read around Manila that would sound or read really funny to any native Englis speaking countries.
ahh well, I have about 11 or 10 months to enjoy what's left of Leno then it's gonna be Conan. I do hope Conan gets better, I really don't enjoy his show as much as would those other two.
Why can't NBC keep Leno anyway?? *sigh*

Unfortunately NBC made the deal to give the show to Conan a couple years back. . . before his show's ratings fell off a bit, and when a lot of his bits were much funnier.
Personally I think Craig Ferguson would be a much, much better choice. Hopefully when Letterman decides to quite in a couple more years he will give the job to Ferguson. His company already produces Ferguson's show that follows Letterman.
As long as they don't consider giving Carson Daly a promotion from the really late show which comes on at like 3AM or so I will be somewhat happy.
