The skeleton has a head

The roof is on! Now over the canefields we can see a shining red roof, like a beacon guiding us home...I know, corny, but very exciting! It went on in two stages. One day they did the gutters and then the next was the roof proper.
At the same time a 'scoop' (bobcat) was out the back flattening the big mound of dirt that had developed when they dug out the foundations. Apparenlty the smell of rotting wet dirt was too strong for the bobcat driver so instead of flattening all the backyard out, he left it for another day...LOL
We spent an afternoon with the electrician pointing out where we wanted powerpoints, lights, fans and outlets for phone/broadband.
Now that's all organised the next instalment will be about one of the wonderful sights around here when you live amongst cane.
