Whatever Happened to ....

May 18th 2009 18:33
Whatever Happened to all these popular tv stars that we used to watch every week without fail, who we would read about in our favourite magazine and who we had posters of in our rooms?

Well I can tell you about a couple!

Whatever happened to Fred Savage?

Best known for his role as Kevin in the ever popular programme The Wonder Years. He was also in the popular kids movie Little Monsters, but what is he upto now? Fred Savage is now a director of both movies and tv shows. Films include: Daddy Day Camp and Stephen's Life .Tv Shows include: Kids favourite: Hannah Montana, The Wizards of Waverly PLace, Ugly Betty, and Thats So Raven.

So is he stil as cute as he used to be, well he hasn't changed that much!

Then and Now

Whatever happened to Erin Moran?

She was probably best known for her role as Joanie Cunningham in Happy Days and its spin off Joanie loves Chachi. She has had small roles on Murder she wrote and Diagnosis Murder, but thats all in the past. At present she has just signed up for celebrity fit club USA anmd she also has upcoming films including No Warning due out this year and The Perfect Serial Killer due in 2010.

She's still Joanie!

Then and Now

Whatever Happened to Joey Lawrence?

Better known for his part in Blossom, but also for Brotherly love, he faded off our screens for a while so what has he been upto and what is he doing now? He has been doing lots of little things, most recently a role which many people will have seen was him playing Clay Dobson in CSI:NY. HE was also on Strictly Come Dancing USA in 2006 and has just finished doing a TV Movie with Melissa Joan Hart (of Sabrina the Teenage Witch).Look out for Joey playing Vince in the 2009 Movie Hit List.

He's even hotter now than he was back then!

Eurovision 2009 Review

May 18th 2009 11:29
I have watched Eurovision for as long as I can remember, but over the last few year the voting has gotten to be a little shall we say unfair. But this year it was changed slightly. 50% would be audience votes and 50% would be that of music industry experts. To be honest I think has worked very well. Those eastern block countries didn't fair as well as usual losing some of those 12 points they would normally get from their neighbours and the western part of eurovision faired a lot better.

So I have written a little about each performance on the night and given then a mark out of 20. Let me know what you think and what you would give them out of 20. I always love to hear what other peoples views are on performance as I find they differ so much!

So lets get on with it!

1. Lithuania
A Strong performance, however I was put off slightly due to his uncanny resembelence of my boss at work! Slightly cheesy but hey it is Eurovision, its to be expected!
I give this a 13 out of 20!

2. Israel
I have looked forward ti Israels entry but I was quite disapointed, not really the Shiri Maimon or Boaz I had in mind, but they did get a point across! A slightly boring performance.
I give it 9 out of 20.

3. France
I definately wasn't bowled over with this one, in fact I got up and made myself a cup of tea, came back and it was still going. Don't get me wrong she is a good singer and the perfomance was good, audience loved her but it just wasn't for me!
I give it a 10 out of 20!

4. Sweden
Loved this, very happy, strong performance. Very beautiful song from the Ulrika Johnson look-a-like, never really heard anything like this in the Eurovision before. Oh and did you know here dress cost €35,000!!!
I give it 16 out of 20

5. Croatia
Very traditional entry, singing in their mother tongue and traditional music. Relaxing song, but I think it would of been better without andrea singing.
I give it 12 out of 20!

6. Portugal
Loved this song as soon as I heard it, and the live performance on the night was awesome. Definately one of my favourites, crowd didn't seen to be too excited about it, but to me it was traditional Eurovision!
It got to be a 17 out of 20 for me!

7. Iceland
An amzing performance, an amazing song by the 18 year old. A popular one with audience! For its innocence and simplicity;
I give it 17 out of 20.

8. Greece
One of the most interesting performances of the night, with a box that apprantly does everything, treadmill, ski shoes, 45 degree angle lift. The song itself isn't half bad either.
I give it 16 out of 20

9. Armenia
They definately win the prize for most traditional costume, but I am suprised they made it through the semi-finals. The two sisters do have great voices and the chorus is catchy but the verses are a little dull. Overall a nice performance worth;
An 11 out of 20

10.Russia

17. Germany
I honestly quite liked this song and the performers all very good on the eye. But I will saythe silver mirror shine pants probably not the best choice from the wardrobe! I gonna give Miss Kiss Kiss Bang a healthy;
16 out of 20

18. Turkey
Dun Tek Tek (Boom Bang a Bang) sounds very sinilar to the Greek winner 2 years ago, so a good song. 4 beautiful girls dressed in red then theres a bearded dude in dark green pants and shirt didn't really fit in looked like he'd just been plonked there!
A respectable 13 out of 20

19. Albania
Two clowns in balck, a blue masked man and a 17 year old girl, a very random affair. However an original song sang in english, as long as you ignored what was going on in the background you'll enjoy it. For effort alone for the girl being able to put up with those idiots behind her i give
12 out of 20

20. Norway

British Summertime!

May 3rd 2009 10:58
Introducing rain, caravans and seaside bingo. It seems to be a reoccurring problem, that the clouds in the sky like to hold it in until the summer then let it all out, its also a known fact that Wednesdays seem to be the worst day of the week when it comes to rain in the summer!

A typical Wednesday in Blackpool!

Brits, Backache and Beansprouts

April 25th 2009 10:50
Where can you get Brits, Backache and Beansprouts. Well that would be at an allotment, one of Britains favourite pastimes. There are approximately 784,000 Britons who have an allotment. The average allotment in Britain is big enough to hold about 12 bammboo canes full of next christmases dinner and a shed, with who knows one in it, a shag pile maybe!

Now apparently these allotment owners have nothing but pride for their priduce, and when cooking tea for a few friends always like to point out 'I grew that what your eating you know' to be perfectly honest I can't really see the friends caring that much, they just want to get some grub in their stomach!
