The secret lives of my cats

Have you ever wondered what your pets might get up to while you are at work? I hadn't given it much thought until the other week when I came home to find a rates bill, that I had left lying on the dinning room table chewed, shredded and scattered across the floor.
'What the?' I asked my self and I don't think the woman at payments believed me when I said my cat did it, as I presented what was left. I have a pretty good idea as to which one it was too!
Anyway I came home tonight and the Time magazine that I had been reading and left on the table to be continued later, was lying on the floor, with it's cover and pages chewed and the centre pages torn out and shredded. Now I could be missing something, maybe they didn't like the article or the picture on it's cover, so as it seems I have some critics in the house I'd better not leave any of my novel around for them to read.
It got me thinking, as they are always asleep when I come home, it would be interesting to put a web cam up so I could see what they are doing during the day? Could be something for U Tube although I guess it has already been done?
For my overseas readers, the weather here in Chch has been really hot today, maybe about 30deg? Tomorrow should be going on a 2-3 hr road ride over the Port Hills and around through Lyttleton and Sumner before heading back into the city.
