The Secret Garden

January 6th 2009 03:32
Hidden among the trees of the small Victorian village of Marysville in Australia, it is a world full of fantasy, beauty and whimsy. It's creator, Bruno Torf has lovingly sculpted, gardened and built one of the world's most unique and deeply inspiring experiences for art and garden lovers of all ages.

The luscious sub-alpine forests of the surrounding area made an ideal setting for Bruno's plan and luckily the property he purchased had a large section of rain forest attached. Bruno's Art & Sculpture Garden began with just fifteen life sizes terracotta sculptures, and today boasts over one hundred and fifteen pieces on display, with Bruno continually adding new pieces. A gallery that houses over 200 of his creations brought over from Europe includes oil paintings, sketches and smaller sculptures. The unique experience of the garden and its wondrous inhabitants attracts thousands of visitors a year.

It is like the Lord of the Rings come to life - truly beautiful. I must visit!!

Thanks to Just Cool Design for bringing this to my attention!!

Hi Rusty - isn't it amazing! I wish I had the time and money to create something so beautiful. Thanks for commenting!

NOTE TO MUM: You will also love this - and I bet you beat me there! This could be some inspiration for some new work from you!

WoW, all the sculptures are truly amazing, Jason.

Do I need to pay any entry fee for it?

I am not sure Wilson - I would think a small entry fee would be probable but worth it.

Absolutely breathtaking.

See, I'm about... halfway around the world.

Unfortunately, it's a dream I can't see coming true anytime soon.

Wow - you are a fair bit away!
But feel lucky - Canada is one of the most beautiful places in the world and a place on my must visit before dead lists!
