The Roots of Legalization

California seems to set the stage for future reform that will eventually affect the rest of us in some way. From medicinal marijuana to gay marriage to the energy crisis to street gangs, everything seems to spread from west to east. When gangs were in LA, nobody cared. Now everyone cares as they migrated into their white-picket-fence neighborhoods on the East Coast.
Although it is not expected to pass, there is a bill up for a vote to legalize recreational pot use in California. It would be funny to see it pass and wonder what will happen next.
Aside from the legalization argument, it is my opinion that we are overlooking pot's health risk. Those who think there aren't any might be fooling themselves.
