The Rome Circus Maximus for the Genesis:was it a good idea ?

The best thing done by the Roman people the 14th of July 2007
when in Rome, was going to the Circus Maximus, the hugest arena of the world constructed for the first time in a wooden structure in the third century before Christ and restructured in a travertine arena under the Emperor Octavian Augustus, where were played chariot races as free games for the Roman spectators of the ancient Rome. This is a very historical and interesting place included in an itinerary for perfect Rome tours ,and on my modest point of view it is not the better place for a live concert allowing 550.000 spectators to move and dance there.
Certainly it was a concert which will stay in the people memory for long time, but there must be different places also to celebrate this sort of event. Why don't play it in an open space just out of Rome and leave this huge arena for its primary purpose, means admired only by the tourists from every side of the world without executing its destruction concert after concert?
