We've been hearing it for over a couple of months now, but expect less flights this Thanksgiving as compared to a year ago. I think that it will be ditto for Christmas.

They saw this coming after the Labor Day holiday when they raised fares and charged fees due to skyrocketing oil prices. My advice is to plan your trip carefully, especially if it involves Thanksgiving Day!
