The New Public Enemies and Solutions

In the ever continuing saga of invasive species, I would like to warn about invaders in Florida and California. Although this article makes fun of politicians wasting the taxpayers' money and time, one should really consider a python a threat.
I was once heavily involved in the herpetile trade and can say that many idiots keep dangerous animals as pets. Too many of these pets escape and become part of the ecosystem which they destroy. These pythons can and do feed on cats, dogs and domestic animals, not to mention established wildlife. Someday I'll share stories that will scare even those who live in the arctic!
Just for your information, I am against keeping any reptile that grows over 3 feet. Although there are exceptions, anything over 3 ft. become unmanageable and unpredictable. Any invasive species can become a threat to the environment and humans and can create a new strain of disease. Hold on to your hat because poisonous reptiles are escaping so don't be totally surprised if a bushmaster or a cobra shows up somewhere!
Putting restrictions or banning exotics is an idea that should be enforced. Many people who own reptiles and amphibians have bitten off more than they can chew, and that should scare everybody!
Now lets talk about the 'sea kittens' as Peta calls them...yes they are because most human eat these underwater delicacies...hint hint...giant flying squids terrorize California. Did I mention that they are CARNIVOROUS? This actually sounds like a Greenpiece(purposely misspelled btw) protest. Let's hunt, kill and eat these dangerous invaders that interfere with human pleasures! I have a great recipe for batter fried squid and in Europe, many use their 'ink' as a pasta sauce! Don't knock it until you try it!!!
