After their destruction of the Milwaukee Bucks, the Miami Heat have at least a week before their next series starts. Let’s look at a couple potential ways the team will be resting and preparing for their next opponent.

1. Watch the Chicago Bulls vs. Brooklyn Nets series. Openly joke about how Lebron may have to try next series. (Everyone laughs!)

2. Dwayne Wade Rehab HOT TUB PARTY – every night!

3. The “Birdman’s 4/20″ party; get high and join Chris Anderson as he parties and forgets the date, “Aw, man, I missed 4/20 again?”

With the NBA Playoffs first round underway it’s time to bring back the NBA Playoff Power Rankings. As always, these rankings are to be taken to heart!

16. Milwaukee Bucks
Some quarters Brandon Jennings looks like a top 5 player in the league, other quarters he single handedly pulls his team down.

15. Boston Celtics
As Jim Morrison once sang, “This is the end…”

14. Chicago Bulls
This year’s Bulls vs. Nets series is very likely setting up a bitter rivalry for years to come.

13. Los Angeles Lakers
I don’t believe they can play any worse than game 1, so there’s that to hang their hat on…

12. Atlanta Hawks
So many lineups, I still believe they can make this a series. Win? No.

11. Golden State Warriors
Exciting youthful group. Does anyone have more fun than Harrison Barnes? No.

10. Memphis Grizzlies
Take a deep breath, you only need to win one on the road to win the series. Games 3 and 4 in Memphis. It’s the Grizzlies turn now! You read it here at pulpscribbler.com!

9. Houston Rockets
Nice idea, but not happening…

8. Denver Nuggets

It doesn’t get more old-school than run-and-gun Nuggets vs. Warriors. The NBA, its FANTASTIC!!!

First Round Thoughts and Predictions

April 18th 2013 00:35

The NBA Ramblings: The Playoffs are Here!

Bold (and not so bold) First Round Playoff Thoughts and Predictions

We are finally here - the fucking playoffs! Maybe it was because the seeds (for the most part) have been set, but getting to the playoffs seemed to take FOREVER this year. Maybe we do need a lockout each year. Anyway, here are some thoughts and predictions for the first round.

LeBron James will average 24/8/8 without trying against the Milwaukee Bucks. If he tries he will average 65/19/33...

The Milwaukee Bucks will get swept in splendid fashion, lose Ellis and Redick, decide not to sign Jennings and be sold to Seattle for sixteen thousand dollars...

Deron Williams will be okay, but not awesome. Now that Jay-Z is parting ways, no one cares...

If the Pacers draw the Hawks they will dispose them in five games, if they end up facing the Bulls the series will go seven...

Kobe Bryant will come back if there is a game seven. EDIT: Kobe Bryant will NOT come back if there is a game seven...

Jeremy Lin will have one so/so game and revive "Linsanity" for exactly 48 hours (or until his next game)...

The L.A. Clippers will win a game by scoring all of their points off dunks. Chris Paul will have 47 assists...

Tim Duncan will remain out of the spotlight...

The Nuggets will beat the Warriors, but lose convincingly to the Spurs. Golden State fans will be okay with this and the organization will give George Karl a ten year extension. It really is the PERFECT place for him...

The Lakers will be swept by the Thunder in four games and will not return to the playoffs for the next five years...

Mid-round, David Stern will announce he is giving away the Charlotte Bobcats to the next lucky fan to hit a half-time half-court shot...

Better look quick if you want to catch a great playoff race in the Western Conference. The Lakers, Jazz, and Mavericks are all fighting for the eight (win or go home) spot. This is what makes the NBA fantastic. Guess what else does? Beards and phenomenal facial hair which are as important to NBA history as the ABA. In salute to Dirk Nowitski's playoff race beard (it HAS to be the beard, right?) let's take a look at the ALL-TIME greatest NBA beards.

NBA Franchise Saviors

March 15th 2013 01:00
Sometimes you fold, other times you go ALL IN. For teams that believe they have a “franchise” or “cornerstone” player, the clock is ticking. Think Tim Duncan. Think Kobe Bryant. Let’s take a look at the five franchises that have not recently won a championship and have gone all in with their hopefuls.

Rule #1 Has to be a big market. It will not be shocking if Milwaukee or Cleveland never win a championship. Small markets are at a huge disadvantage and most likely can’t be saved by one player (see: LeBron James in Cleveland years). The exception being
