Burger King and Global Warming

May 31st 2009 22:03
A few Burger Kings in Memphis sort of agree with my ideology on global warming. I believe in global warming, my beef is with the man-made theory!

Man made baloney but he can't control the weather!

Think About It!

African Climate Change?

May 30th 2009 17:16
I remember when Africa needed the world's aid for food and water. After all many places were poor and under developed. Many people lived in desserts and other places where food couldn't grow properly.

Now Africa is getting a global warming effect from the rest of the 'rich' world and wants money because of it!

It never ceases to amaze me how money will make everything better! It's as if money will make the elephant in the room disappear.

Maybe Africa should pay us for all of its fine contributions. From AIDS to the Somali pirates to Ebola to a new lethal virus!

If You Can't Beat Them, Eat Them!

May 30th 2009 15:56
This is one of those entries that tends to sock it to Peta and other animal rights groups!

I have always thought that if you can make food out of a pest, the pest would flee. It seems that somebody finally heard me. It seems that there is a growing demand for squirrel pie!

You wouldn't catch me eating it, but if there is a palate for it, then it is a great idea. One has to wonder if after they have eliminated the gray squirrel, that they won't pursue the delicious reds!

In some parts of the country where water fowl are a problem, they should have Foie gras in a can!

Look at all the tasty pests that are invading your garden. Wouldn't they go good with a side of salad from your garden?

Incredible Truths

May 30th 2009 15:03
When you actually spend time with nature, there are certain secrets at times that you pick up on that aren't in any books. Such as the crows warning me when a cat was at my bird feeder. A hawk or peregrine strike at the feeder. A bird landing on your cupped hands and taking a drink of the water you were about to wash your face with. All in a blink of an eye.

Nature continues to show its secret side which is being able to adapt to man's ever evolving world. We have the ever common mother duck going to seek help from humans when her ducklings are stuck inside a drain or on top of a building

Natural Humor

May 26th 2009 00:36
A couple of years ago we were worried about the honeybee decline and the devastating affect. I spoke my thoughts back then. Another entry on the topic has been rendered extinct!

You get the idea that bee colonies were on the decline, thus making it difficult to propagate human food. So we haven't heard much in the past year about the problem and since our food is still on the table, I think the problem isn't as big as we thought

HFCS vs. Sugar-Greener

May 23rd 2009 13:13
Regardless of the debunking that sugar is healthier than high fructose corn syrup, I am still a skeptic. Perhaps when it comes to sweeteners as a whole, our intake should be minimal. We have all seen an increase in obesity in the USA, coincidentally HFCS is becoming more common in most of the foods and soft drinks we consume. And yes, we tend to over-consume these products.

Anyway, in case you missed it, this entry isn't in The Health Fanatic blog, so I might be writing about another aspect. Since most are becoming 'Green', we may want to see the environmental impact of HFCS and sugar. Big surprise that they both have an impact

Weather Personell Are NEVER Wrong

May 22nd 2009 18:26
Is it partly cloudy or partly sunny? Is there a 20% chance of rain or 60% chance? If anybody is good at using double-meaning words, it has to be the person who gives you the weather. After all, a minor change in wind direction and weather can become unpredictable.

It seems that NOAA has unveiled its hurricane forecast that is a double-talk confusing prediction made to cover all scenarios and probabilities

Tracking Earthquakes Worldwide

May 21st 2009 19:01
I am surprised to see that there has been some seismic activity in my neck of the woods. That's right there have been a number of earthquakes! I don't live in California where earthquakes are common. I live in upstate New York. I learned about it here. Click on the state or earthquake for information.

Has there been seismic activity in your area? A good way to find out is at The Earthquake Hazards Program

Taxpayer Money Science

May 21st 2009 15:17
Perhaps I am misunderstood, but I have always been taught that scientific hypothesis are just an educational guess. That's why many times I am a skeptic over scientific research that ends up costing more than it is worth. As many know, my most controversial subject is man-made Global Warming. After all, scientific research has proven that it exists, but comes up with far-fetched theories that man is the cause!

This isn't what this is about. This is about the scientific community using taxpayer funding to conclude the obvious outcome. Take the study that proves that ducks like water

Sometimes it is hard to believe that I am not making things up as I go along. Somehow the new invader seems to be extremely dangerous and very resourceful. It arrived in the US in 2002 in cargo shipments. Last year the invaders were in five countries, but today they are already found in 11 countries.

The rasberry ant is named after the exterminator who first discovered them. This ant has evolved into rendering over-the-counter products totally useless

China's Sex Park

May 16th 2009 17:56
China may be getting Westernized faster then it would like. A sex theme park that hasn't opened yet is already stirring up controversy. Love Land exhibits naked sculptures, giant genitals and has sex workshops.

It boasts to be the first,so I'm betting it won't be the last. Welcome, China, to the point of Know Return!

In a world where good paying jobs are hard to find, do we really need to cut jobs due to tree-huggers and irrational animal rights activists? I say no, but most may not see it my way. After all if it doesn't effect you, it is a futile cause.

I believe that humans have the right to survive even if it means an animal must adapt, evolve, or be rendered extinct. Most may not see it that way. You, I, they, and we are entitled to our opinion

Sex In Diverse Places III

May 9th 2009 15:22
If you are ever in Santa Cruz for a quick romp on the front lawn of City Hall, don't be where the Human Resources Department can see you!

...they aren't a very happy and understanding department. You have to hand it to the couple who were still going at it when cops arrived. Of course this interruption may have angered the woman who refused to sign the lewd conduct ticket and was carted off to jail!

Environmental Priorities

May 9th 2009 15:07
Conservationists, the so-called defenders of nature, have priorities that lack understanding and reason. Much like PETA, they tend to defend nature from the bullying human. Sometimes, because they feel as if they have the right answers, they are blinded to facts. This in noway applies to all, but rather to those who are amateurish and tend to follow their feelings.

Conservation involving animals is a complicated thing that can have devastating effects on the environment. Consideration must be taken with introduction of a non-native species, overpopulation of an animal that has no natural enemies, over and underpopulation of either predator or prey, etc., and you get the idea. I may have not used correct terms, but you get a feel for what's involved

Sex In Diverse Places II

May 2nd 2009 14:47
You were warned! Sometimes I amaze myself with ongoing arguments. People are having sex in weird places, and at times they do it for the thrill of getting caught!

Well yet again one must look at the humor of having sex where the general public has access. It's even funnier when it is done in a private area that is tightly guarded. This under the watchful eye of tourists that are photographing and videotaping the action for twenty minutes
