The Natural Order - by signals

The Natural Order - June 2008

Parental Backlash

June 29th 2008 15:06
I have a friend whose daughter has grown into a complete monster. Not only has he always given her everything, but her schools were the wiener schools of today. Needless to say that she has total control of her parents including their finances. At 18, she knows how to spend money. She no longer goes to school or has ever had a job, but she considers her parents ATMs.

Another friend is raising her kids in that 'praise and reward for anything' society, and you can see how her precious will become in the future. A neighbor complained to the school that his child had her feelings hurt from not being called when she knew the answer. There is no competition and no rewards for winning. Competitive sports will soon not keep score if this trend keeps up!

Fortunately there is a light at the end of the tunnel of this worldwide epidemic. There seems to be a backlash. People are starting to wake up that these society of wussies isn't an overall good thing.

The Falling Novelty

June 15th 2008 20:18
People debate and get upset over a variety of issues. In the US one such debate is over abortion. Pro-Life versus Pro-Choice has led to heated arguments that end with the truly ignorant resorting to extreme means. Including but not limited to terrorist tactics such as bombing abortion clinics. Both sides of the spectrum are ignorant because they are blinded by their beliefs and agendas.

Apparently abortion is declining due in large part through education. If you think the figures are outdated, check here. The downward trend continues worldwide!

This isn't about abortion rather than the fact that sometimes the novelty wears off of a certain aspect in life. Remember the various debates of pros and cons about gay marriage? Well it seems that some gays feels it's not what it's made out to be.

Even with States passing gay marriage rights that is still surrounded by controversial protests, gays, like their hetero counterparts, are finding that living with one person for life might not be a great idea!!!

Vegan Nightmare

June 8th 2008 21:43
I was going to put this in my health blog, but figured it would be more appropriate here. I'll start with something that is worth repeating...humans are omnivorous scavangers that need variety in their diet. Having said that, I will acknowledge that you are entitled to your opinion. Your diet beliefs are a personal thing. I've learned to accept vegetarians as long as they don't try to spread their beliefs on me. Vegans? Well that's another animal that is too strict and goes to extreme. It goes hand-in-hand with Petard philosophy!

Although it isn't the first incident, the strict Vegan philosophy is coming in the open. As more people seem to be joining this crazy movement, the incidents will also increase.

Thinking of joining? Here's your Vegan Food Guide. Here's the Vegan Propoganda site. I see they're targetting McDonalds which will raise the price of everything else!

Even if this diet is healthy for adults, it should not be forced on infants and children. I have my biggest doubt with all that intake of soy and soy products. The bottom line is that to be a Vegan, you must follow their strict no milk or meat diet. They won't hesitate to spread their beliefs to others. This is what makes the movement and diet dangerous.

Smarter Than The Average Bear

June 7th 2008 21:00
If you want to discuss unnatural behavior among nature, you can always successfully point to mankind as the culprit. That is the way it is. I know because at one time I was a part of the natural problem. It started with feeding the birds and building backyard ecosystems that eventually spiralled out of control.

If you want to commune with nature, take your butt to a nature center or wildlife refuge rather than bringing nature to you. Heed the warning! An acquaintance has a wild fox that is a nuisance to most but a delight to some. This will be another topic

Blaming GW...Again!

June 6th 2008 16:45
Why is it that when you want to ban something because it can be dangerous, you always blame it as a contributer to global warming? Banning bonfires is a good idea for various reasons. It can get out of control, people burn everything and anything, there is sometimes vandalism associated with it, etc., etc.! Instead they have to use the global-warming-contributer argument. And people seem to be getting fed up with that argument!

Let's look at nature...most grass and forest fires are caused by lightening strikes. These usually happen in areas that are dry and arid and receive little rain. Before man these were natural occurences that happened in nature to replenish the ground of nutrients so that a new forest or grassland can grow

Call Me Skeptic

June 1st 2008 15:51
Personally, I don't believe in any of the Mars-hype going on right now. If you do, You're going to love this!

Why am I a skeptic? Because I don't think we have that advanced technology to pick up signals from that far away in a short period of time. I tend to question if truly we are that advanced, then what uses would we get out of this on earth
