The Natural Order - April 2008

Wikipedia's GW Agenda

April 18th 2008 23:02
You have to keep in mind that Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia written by ordinary people. This in itself makes it prone to error. Even if it were 99% correct it would still be prone to error. Lets face it, Wikipedia is probably 80% accurate. Either way, this is not about how often right Wikipedia is. It's about whether it is on an agenda and will CENSOR any views that go against it.

This should be research you do on your own. Wikipedia seems to write itself when it comes to global warming. An editor seems to be the only source of knowledge when it comes to global warming. They speak for climatologists and even the person they are talking about can't correct them.

If all this from the article is true, Wikipedia is what I always thought. A reference of baseless knowledge. This isn't to say that most entries aren't accurate. If you think about it anytime you research something and Google it, Wikipedia is usually the first one. This doesn't mean it is totally accurate but rather more people use Wikipedia to do research. I always make sure it is pretty accurate before using it. I also go to other sites to find different views and see a common connection.

The Greenpeace Renegade

April 13th 2008 19:23
A Greenpeace co-founder says the movement is wrong to oppose nuclear energy. He claims that it more cost efficient than gas and solar. I'll even dare to include wind.

This was told to me by an old friend who worked at a local nuclear power plant back in the '70s. He had a bumper sticker that said Nuclear Energy-safe and efficient. You wouldn't believe how everyone would tell him how wrong that was...including me. We all had our thoughts of nuclear energy based on the bomb. Then the movie The China Syndrome about a nuclear cover-up.

In an eerie turn of events where real life imitates reel life, we had Three Mile Island that took place weeks after the film's release. That's when that friend of mine went into overdrive, claiming that a)it wasn't as bad as the media made it to be, and b)it will never happen at his plant. Now of course we shrugged it off and thought, "Yeah, right!"

Now we have to wonder whether he was right. In the US our environmental laws are very strict about pollution. This is why there has never been an actual Chernobyl in the US.

Could we be ready for another step in evolution, or is a deformaty of an individual?

To get an understanding of my theory read this. Evolution to me isn't one species leading to another species but rather an individual species means for survival. Animals do what they must to survive.

Deformity or evolution? Or maybe just laziness? Yes the animal kingdom is turning into the lazy humans that they associate with food and shelter!

Take the case of Woody with the overgrown pecker! Get your mind out of the gutter, it's not what you might think, it's a woodpecker with an overgrown beak. According to the article, the bird continues to live a normal life. Feeding, nesting(indicating offspring), etc., which indicate that the beak is not an infringement to survival for Woody.

My view is that these birds are evolving for survival like the pepper moth. Perhaps the beak can reach food easier that is deeper in a treetrunk. This means that Woody can dig farther and faster than normal woodpeckers.

The other side of this spectrum is that the woodpecker isn't doing what nature intended by keeping the bill trim and fit...thus making it kind of lazy! Hey as long as humans give out free food, most animals that would have died have a chance to survive.

The natural order dictates that wild animals survive by being in shape and alert or they might become the prey of a predator.

Animal Farm Meets Animal House

April 8th 2008 01:37
Whenever someone wants to learn a foreign language, their main objective is to eventually learn the swear words. Sometimes making the swear words the main part of your vocabulary may not go over well. That was the case with Barney. Barney went so far as to teach his friends how to swear and now that's all they do all day!

Barney is not a human, and he is not a stupid dinosaur. Barney is a parrot...a macaw actually. He belongs to a wildlife sanctuary owner named...he-heh...Geoff Grewcock!!! Now Mr....heh-heh...Grewcock didn't teach Barney to swear, his previous owner did. It seems now that Barney has taught two African greys how to swear! Grewcock said that all they do is sit around and swear at each other all day

Survival 102

April 6th 2008 18:25
So let's say that with all the environmental disasters, falling economy, rising costs, food shortages, etc., that everything finally does collapse and society breaks down. Or we can say that a natural disaster hits and you know FEMA is on their way...bwhahaha...I swear I almost said that with a straight face! Point is that you can't rely on the government. Anyway are you prepared to survive in the worst case scenario?

It seems that more and more people are becoming urban survivalists, where they prepare for the worst. Stock up on precious metals, food, water, guns, and other supplies and needs. As usual there are those who think they go too far. But in the worst case scenarios they will be more prepared than the rest. I think a little less extreme would be perfect. I have a 'kit' that I have stockpiled for survival that suits my needs

New Species Discoveries

April 6th 2008 00:13
Imagine new animal species being discovered in the past few years. It should give mankind a feeling that maybe things on earth aren't so bad. Imagine finally being discovered after being here for thousands of years.

Meet the new angelfish. It sees like humans and crawls rather than swims. It's markings make great camoflage among the reefs

Morning Cartoons

April 5th 2008 15:03
Everyone on earth has seen at some point the roadrunner and coyote cartoons. This is a real life situation that if you were going to joke about it the ACME customer would come to mind. Always buying newer contraptions, the coyote always seems to fall prey to his prey hunting technology! Most of the time he goes off that cliff and ends up a dust cloud below!

If you want to give this a Natural Order spin, then my comment would be about building housing on wild lands. Animals move by instinct and I'm willing to bet that years after tenants move in, they will have trouble with some wildlife in this area. Especially if they inadvertantly, or on purpose, leave food around

Global Warming's Bottom Line

April 1st 2008 20:25
Why is it that Rich resorts where people flock and spend millions declare themselves Poor when it comes to fighting a catastrofic climate change? One they claim will affect them and their livelihood? Perhaps it's because they feel they can get paid and have others do the work. Yes they want money from the industrialized nations along with the nations doing more to cut CO2 emissions. All this to guarantee that a disaster will never happen or cut the chances of it happening.

A comedian once said that if people are starving because they live in the desert, maybe they should move to where the food is rather than continuing to live in the desert. This was in response to a Feed-the-World movement where people were starving in deserts and other places where you couldn't grow food! This warming cause seems to have the same effect and what is worst is that man is being blamed for all of it

The Melting Ice Caps

April 1st 2008 19:05
If the ice caps are melting as some environmental scientists believe, this is what will happen. It isn't that the polar bears won't survive, but they may migrate in greater numbers to places where they are considered rare. Some places in Canada experience polar bear migration more than other places, and from what I gather it is rare but not uncommon in the far eastern provinces.

Either way polar bears and humans don't really mix and they should avoid each other. Most people believe that the melting ice caps is due to global warming and this might be very true. It also proves that wildlife such as polar bears are able to evolve to adjust and adapt to such extreme changes.
