The Natural Order - by signals

The Cooling of Global Warming

October 25th 2009 15:21
I have to keep repeating myself and telling my stance on global warming. I believe that it is a natural phenomenon and man has very little, if anything, to do with it. Therefore, man cannot control it. Through history, science, and just talking to old farmers, you sometimes find that earth tends to regulate itself without man's help.

I spoke about how in the 1800s the earth's temperatures dropped due to a couple of massive volcanic eruptions in Indonesia. In the early and mid 1900s we thought we were heading towards another Ice Age. Now, much like the weather, we are complaining that it is too hot.

I wrote about how nature is being effected because of man's conservative ways. This may be where man does have his hands in this global warming fad. Animals find easy meals wherever there is man. Many have no natural predators and are becoming overpopulated and overweight and lazy. Geese no longer seem to fly south to warmer climates. With overpopulation comes the spread of disease, that may affect humans. This discussion can be endless.

I have no problem in mixing the Bible with science as long as you keep a perspective on both. If the Bible says that the world will end, I believe that it will end. When? Well maybe we need to realize that we are on God's timeline, not man's. Could be in a minute or another 10000 years. Who really knows? Man didn't create it, and man can't stop it. Live your life and don't worry about it is my philosophy.

I have looked at the whole matter with much skepticism when people quote scientists and there findings. You're missing the point if you don't see that there are scientific arguments about global warming from both sides of the debate. There is scientific data to back up the man-caused die-hards, just as there is data to go the other way. In science, it's all about the funding. If a theory can't be proven in someway, then you lose your funding, and that is the bottom line.

I have seen how politicians get involved with their 'do as I say, not as I do' attitude. When politicians get involved, everything will cost you in the long run. Turning greener means spending more money in the long run.

Yes we can discuss and argue about global warming until the earth ends naturally, but in the US, the global warming belief is starting to cool. Global warming alarmists are nothing more than those doom-sayers of the past, who stood on the corners each day to predict that the world will end tomorrow. Thanks to technology, they have become more credible and respectable. The only thing the Kyoto Protocol has accomplished is imposing fines on nations that don't meet their unrealistic carbon emissions reduction. In the US the fines will be passed to the already taxed-to-death taxpayer!

Beautiful Clouds

October 18th 2009 15:35
Once again there are pictures that are worthy of The Natural Order. This time it comes in the form of clouds from around the world.

There is a cloud that is missing. It is one of my personal favorite. It's the fficial&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=eDTbSs2-DoisswPonZC NBg&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CBUQsAQwAA" target="_blank">Thunderhead!

Stamps Worth Buying

October 18th 2009 14:42
I remember when the Elvis stamps came out and were sold-out within days of when they were issued. Fans and collectors, rather than those who needed postage, bought as many as possible. Since I wasn't a fan of Elvis, it seemed pointless and funny to me!

My how times change and now it is I that is on the other side of the spectrum. Now Britain is putting out Classic Album Covers stamps. They contain a few of my cherished British groups, so I might buy a few. The keyword is 'few'!

Unfortunately, just like the Elvis stamp, I expect fans and collectors to come out in droves to buy their favorites. That means that I am not going to lose sleep if they sell-out quickly!

The Divine Warming Comedy

September 16th 2009 19:06
If I would have a reason to finally say that we really need to control the climate which we really can't control, this would be it. It has been affecting BEER quality since 1954. The quality of hops has fallen in major beer regions of Europe. In other words, the hops aren't worth adding them to the beer because alpha acid has dropped since 1954. I guess this is what gives great pilsner lagers their bitter taste.

I bet beer drinkers haven't noticed any difference. There are still drunks in the Czech Republic, Germany, and England to name a few. I'm not a big fan of hop dominated beers, but I have had a few recently that have a great potency and bitterness

Global Warming Shortcut

September 13th 2009 12:49
Many know my opinion about global warming and I still stand behind it. Regardless what side of the argument one presents, global warming may have some advantages that are useful to many people. Lets look at the Arctic melting that is blamed on global warming.

The Arctic Ocean's ice cap melting may lead to shortcuts. It seems that this would be an advantage for trade and travel

Against The Norm-Personal Diary

September 11th 2009 18:47
After months of soul searching, I've finally decided to make a big change in my life. This decision will definitely affect my entire life in so many aspects. Here on Orble, for example, it will mean less writing. I've decided to go from the day shift to the graveyard shift. I just completed my third week, and it has been one hell of a roller-coaster ride.

Going against my own natural order is taking a toll, but I do seem to be adjusting rather nicely. I only had a couple of days where I didn't get enough sleep. This happened quite a few times when I was on days, too

Green Rhetoric

September 5th 2009 17:59
I wrote elsewhere where my utility company raised their rates due to people saving and conserving energy. If utility companies lose money because of your conservative functions they must raise their rates to pay 'their' bills, sort of speak!

So our greener-wieners continue to preach the never-ending rhetoric to stop our oil dependency. It will never happen. A Saudi prince urges US to recognize our oil dependency

Relationship Management

September 5th 2009 14:24
In any relationship there is always a probability of infidelity. Men are the most likely to be unfaithful. Or are they?

A new study suggests that women are the biggest cheats and the numbers are growing. They are better at lying and covering up an affair than men. They stay ahead of the game and anticipate risks, while men tend to be sloppy and more likely to be caught.
