Mmmmm, midnight snacks.................I'm up, it's dark, I'm hungry, I'm goin' for the fridge.
It's midnight, it's not normal to eat meals at this time, so I'm goin' in for something wickedly sinfully tastie, bugger the calories! It's a midnight snack!
Open fridge...
Survey scene....
Apples in the crisper?.....nah, boring.....cheese on the shelf? tempting.....celery and peanut butter?...can't be bothered making that, want midnight snack NOW.....keep looking.....what's that? bread? nutella..oohhhh, now things are looking up....nutella sandwhich could do the trick, chocolate, bread, it would be tasty, filling..okay, this is working......salivating in mouth, grabbing for the bread.....but hang on.....what's that? what's that at the back of the fridge in the box behind the bread? What's hiding up there? Crouch down and move things out of way.....grab at mysterious box.....pull it toward me.....carefully open lid...
*harmonious music fills the room and a very bright shard of light falls upon me*
IT'S A CHOCOLATE-TRIPLE RIPPLE-CHOC-CHIP-MARS-BAR-CHOC FUDGE-MUD CAKE!!
Oh lordy give me strength! It's perfect...It's not mine, but I don't care....tempation, addiction and chocolate obsession win tonight!
Woohooo for the Midnight Snack! Move over people....I'm a goin' in...hard and fast....there's no holding me back, move aside, move aside........................ ............................. ...............
............................. ............................. ............................. ....hang on...where's the ice-cream?

While the exact details of the above article aren't true for me....I have been known to indulge in midnight snacks involving disgusting amounts of chocolate!!
The 8cents is from a site called www.helium.com
Much of the writing there seems to be done by american school kids - so I don't know if they actively use the site as part of their school cirriculum. Having said that, there are a lot of well written and interesting articles in there too.
