The Melting Ice Caps
April 1st 2008 19:05
If the ice caps are melting as some environmental scientists believe, this is what will happen. It isn't that the polar bears won't survive, but they may migrate in greater numbers to places where they are considered rare. Some places in Canada experience polar bear migration more than other places, and from what I gather it is rare but not uncommon in the far eastern provinces.
Either way polar bears and humans don't really mix and they should avoid each other. Most people believe that the melting ice caps is due to global warming and this might be very true. It also proves that wildlife such as polar bears are able to evolve to adjust and adapt to such extreme changes.
