The Lucky Household

Opium looked at her purse. Shoppers passed her as she counted the change. She didn't have any money. Only a few cents. She wrinkled her nose.
“I hate being broke!” she sighed before she walked out of the shopping centre.
Opium walked home. It took her around twenty minutes in order to walk home. She walked and walked, and then finally as blisters rose on her shoes she made it.
“I am here!” she gasped as she walked inside the house.
Opium removed her shoes and traipsed through the carpeted housed. She felt better without the shoes. She felt relief. The carpet felt fresh and clean, and it made her feel less burn as she walked over it with her toes raking over the carpet. She began to walk and walk, and after a while she made it to her room.
“Finally!” Opium gasped as she moved into the clean room which had been recently dusted.
The room smelled good and fresh. Opium smiled as she took off her dress and then walked around with only her underwear on. She had worn swimmers a lot in the summer, and she didn't feel any shyness, not even as the door opened.
“Hey Opium;” said her sister Cherry as she walked inside.
“Hey there;” said Opium as she smiled.
“What you doing?” asked Cherry.
“Nothing, why?” questioned Opium.
“Mind if I hand out?” asked Cherry.
“Sure;” muttered Opium before she sat on her bed. “I am just resting;” she muttered.
Cherry squealed and picked up the magazines on the table stand. She then raced to the bed in order to share them with Opium. Opium didn't really feel like reading, however she opened a Magazine in order to show off that she was attempting to read.
“So I have a new boyfriend;” told Cherry as she smiled.
“Yeah? Who is he?” asked Opium.
“The grocery boy at the T-Market;” told Cherry as she smiled at a glossy image of some sports star who had made it big. “Wow look at this guy! Muscles!” she muttered.
Opium looked, and cringed.
“He's ugly;” she said before she flipped a page in order to be able to filter her sight before she turned blind.
“He's okay;” told Cherry. “I'd do him if he went to college;” she smiled.
“College, you still going to that?” asked Opium as she began to grow bored.
“Yes, I almost won last gymnastics tournament;” told Cherry.
“That's amazing, cause you never practise;” told Opium.
“I practise when I sleep;” told Cherry as she widened her eyes. “It's all about hypnotism;” she said as she looked to another guy and grew inspired at the muscles.
“It is not!” gasped Opium.
“It is!” told Cherry. “I tell in my mind what I want, and my body does it!” she said.
“That's dumb!” warred Opium as she narrowed her eyes.
“It is not! It works!” warred Cherry. “That's why I am climbing to my top form!” she smiled.
Opium shook her head. She didn't want to talk any longer. She just threw off her thoughts and ignored them. Cherry smiled as she pretended she had won. Opium ignored her as she gloated. After a while the two sisters settled down into silence, and they fed off each others energies as they read articles that gained their interest. After a while they didn't miss the small talk.
The parents came home. Cherry rolled her eyes as Opium groaned. They both sounded drunk. They had swallowed their Friday drinks and had come home with slurs on the tongue.
“They must have drunk the keg;” whispered Cherry before she offered a smile that came from nervousness.
The last time she had crashed into her parents they had been drunk and warred. They asked why she wasn't studying, and she had claimed she had been as she threw a packet of lollies behind her back. Her father had thrown her into her room, and locked the door as a result. Cherry had no choice, she turned to her computer and began to play games as she thought about her last college lesson inside of her mind.
“They probably won't bother us, they seem perfectly happy;” told Opium before she shrugged.
Suddenly the door opened! Opium and Cherry screamed! Their father Jacob screamed also! Then he laughed as the two girls settled down.
“You two look like runaways;” told Jacob as he glared at one then the other. “Huddled together;” he muttered as he looked and then shook his head. “It is amazing the difference;” he added as he smiled. “Truly amazing;” he said.
“I know right?” gasped Cherry before she turned her back to him.
Jacob didn't like being shown a back, however he moved his eyes over to Opium so that he could get over it. Opium smiled, and then she put her head down in order to look at the magazine. She could feel her heart murmurs race over the energy in the air. It made her stress. She grew grumpy right away.
“It's not positive to look like you don't belong Cherry;” told Jacob as he shook his head.
“So?” muttered Cherry as she continued to turn away.
“You girls could get into trouble;” told Jacob as he glared. “Big trouble if we didn't have enough marbles in our minds;” he added.
“So?” muttered Cherry as she kept her back turned.
Jacob glared. Her back annoyed him all of a sudden. He wanted to do something to it. But he didn't know what. He ignored his instinct and began to glare in a harsher manner.
“So, it's good that we're all sane, otherwise we may have thrown you out;” he muttered as he smiled. “It's lucky;” he said.
“So everyone's lucky;” told Cherry as she shrugged.
“Very;” said Jacob as be began to narrow his eyes.
