Flashes of memories - MUGABE MUST GO!!! ZIMBABWEANS NEED THEIR HOME BACK

There are as many nights as days, and the one is just as long as the other in the year's course. Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word 'happy' would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness - Carl Jung To be at one with God is to be at peace ... peace is to be found only within, and unless one finds it there he will never find it at all. Peace lies not in the external world. It lies within one's own soul. - Ralph Waldo Trine

The loudest whisper of a crying heart

sunset, park, swings, playground

The pencil etches a copy
of what the eyes can see,
but captures in perfection
the imperfections unseen.

An alert ear, awake
catches a thousand whispers,
spoken into a wind of deceit,
which blows from mouth to mouth.

I will shout no longer, nor cry,
for my tears run wasted,
into a vast ocean of unlove,
where waves crash on foreign shores.

Instead I take a delicate thread,
and stitch closed lips, ears,
all senses that may wilt
under the rays of your destructive

tongue.

Ash! I LOVE your banner pic! Your name invokes cinders and is written in fire - it's beautiful.

And your poem is something else, rich and painful, very stirring.

Beautiful Ash,

So glad the muse has found you again... I also love your poetry... this is no exception and very moving. It reminds me of the 'lashings' I used to get from my mother and the way it always made me feel...stitched up inside myself.

Haunting...

Lilla ...

PS How did you create the banner word...not a ciggarette, nor cigar?

As always beautiful, you have such a wonderful way with words that tear at the heart of emotion.

I want an Ash book of Poetry!

I hope you are well.

Take Care.

Sarah.

Hi Lilla

ah yes... lashings have a way of making the best garments turn out... well, all wrong! Some things are sewn in fine lace, others by rusty needles.

I wrote this banner with candlelight - have been doing some experimentation - it`s great fun!
