The Lights Go Out on the 49ers
February 4th 2013 18:31
Another year in the books for the NFL and no surprise there was another great Super Bowl played. 5 of the last 6 Super Bowls have been won by less than one score. Yesterdays game was quite a peculiar game though, first of all a power outage in the 3rd quarter was not a way we thought the 49ers would slow down the Ravens offense but it worked, after the power went out the Ravens were held to only 6 points. Joe Flacco did not take an offensive snap for nearly an hour and a half (Jacoby Jones ran back second half kickoff) so that may have been a reason their offense sputtered late in the game. Finally, the clock management was terrible for the 49ers, on the 2nd and goal from the 5 yard line late in the game they had to burn their 2nd timout meaning if they didnt get it in the endzone the game was basically over. Come on Coach you were a quarterback in this league for a long time and you couldnt get a play in to your quarterback, wow. Besides the craziness this was a game that will be remembered for the power outage and Ray Lewis dancing into the sunset with another Lombardi trophey. Congrats to the Ravens.
