The Light

Fang's POV

Ari lunged at me and all I could think was, " HE THREW MAX!" I quickly dodged out of the way. I threw a quick jab to his jaw, I heard a loud crack and immediatly followed with a side kick to his ribs. I heard a loud whoosh and that only fueled my rage even more. I landed an ax-kick on top of his head, which caused him to fall on the ground. I got on top of him and began to choke the life right out of him.
" You are going to wish that you were never born." Suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder.
" Fang let go. He is out cold, and Max needs you." It had to be Nudge. She was the only one who could say that much in less than 5 seconds.
" What do you mean?" I realized that I had let go of Ari and was on my feet.
" She is dieing," Nudge said between sobs. I ran over to Max to discover that what she had said was true.
" Max, please you can't leave us now! You can't do this to me! I need you more than you think!" I noticed her head move and that was it. I felt for her pulse. To my horror I found none.
" Fang, she is dead. Ari killed her. Not with force but with words. What he said to her made her want to die, so she let herself." I was in denial. I knew that Angel spoke the truth, but I couldn't let myself believe her.
" Max, no, you can't be gone. I need you, I love you." Iggy pulled me off of her dead body. As we walked away I realized that a light had begun to shine behind us. When I turned around, I saw that Max was the source of light and she was floating in mid-air! The light began to fade and her body was put back down on the grass. We ran to her, and I felt for her pulse.
" Oh, my, god."
