The importance of posting regularly

Posting regularly is the most important aspect of succussful blogging.
It is very important to keep your blog fresh to demonstrate to first time visitors that your blog is updated all the time so they feel that if they come back tomorrow they will likely find something new. This causes them to bookmark your site or subscribe to your blog feed.
The search engines also love blogs which are updated every day. This point cannot be over emphasised. Regularly updated blogs will receive 3 or 4 times more traffic from the search engines than blogs which are updated only occasionally. All of the top 20 blogs on the Orble network have a new post every day.
If you know you will not have the time or be able to post on a particular day try to write a post before hand and use the "Display Time" feature to have it appear on your blog when needed.
