The House Dad - by Jonathan Rosen

The House Dad - May 2007

2 Kids sick at home...lovely.

May 31st 2007 14:14
Hello everybody,
Hope all is well. Things could be a lot better over here. My oldest daughter has a bad stomache ache and is home today, while my youngest daughter has a feverand is cranky and lethargic. Just great to be at home today. I am running back and forth between the two and my older daughter doesn't know to stay away from my younger one. Envy me?
So now, my wife is feeling anxious again since we started and failed at a business, all in two months. I am furious at this guy who was supposed to be working with us. He basically got a free ride for two months and then when he thought I passed the point of no return on the business, he altered the rules. Everybody who I speak with, tells me that better now than later, but there is no way that they would have everybody in the corp. be on the bank account. I know I am going to have trouble now getting back a laptop and desktop I bought for the company at his house, but I am not going to give it up. I am going to pursue this. I feel bad enough as it is that my wife is upset about things, so I can't let this guy off the hook.

On to more pleasant things, my manuscript. The editor I hired told me that it's time to start looking into agents and places to publish. I am getting very excited, even though I know it takes a long time if at all. I know all of this but I allow myself a small daydream every now and then. Everybody keep your fingers crossed. Unfortunately, I have to run since both my daughters are calling for me now. Such is the life of a house Dad.
Later,
Jonathan

Post Memorial Day and baseball.

May 29th 2007 14:24
Hello All,
Hope everybody had a fantastic weekend. We had a busy one. Had some friends in from NY and they are staying near Miami. For those of you that don't know me, I am a homebody. I do not like travelling a long distance. Vacations, I do like going other places, but when I'm not on vacation, I don't like traveling far from the house. They stayed an hour away form us and while I know it is not very long, I don't like it, especially on a Friday of a holiday weekend when there is a lot of traffic. We go and I am watching the clock so we can beat rush hour back home. I keep pushing, but my wife says we can't leave yet. Any guesses who won? Needless to say, we hit traffic and were sitting in it. Hate when I'm right. We also had their daughter and my nephew sleep over, so we had a house full of kids making a ton of noise. More fun. We took them all to see Shrek 3 on Saturday and my father wasn't feeling well, so there went my babysitter for my 17 month old. We had to take her and it was murder. She was noisy and all over the place, my wife had to take her out to the aisle behind a barrier to the exit and watch the movie from there. At least I got to see it. As for the movie itself, I thought it was good and funny, but not nearly as good as the first two. This felt a little bit slapped together, but the kids still enjoyed it a lot, so who cares about anything else? To end the weekend, we saw my friend's wife again and her mother who was also here on vacation. My friends had already gone back to NY, so his mother-in-law, had free reign. She even mentioned how she always had hopes that her daughter could have done better, but as long as her daughter was happy. My mouth dropped open. What a *****! Unbelievable.

On to baseball, I had a great weekend baseball wise. Mets swept, the Braves got swept, the Red Sox swept and the yankees got swept. It was a perfect 12-0 for me. what a perfect weekend.
As far as my business that I attempted, it is looking like a no-go. I am angry ay having used up a money that I don't have. I went into it with a friend and somebody that he knew that was good at web development. I laid out all of the money. Now, I started the Inc. And I said that until I am paid back, I am the only one on the bank account. This guy had a big problem with it and said that he would drop out if that were the case. I have already paid this guy to start and told him that when I am paid back my investment, we become partners and he can go on as well, but he dropped out after i paid all of this money. Anybody think I'm wrong? My friend is actrually the one who told me that I should be the only one on the account. Oh well. On to something else, I guess, but I a m plenty steamed now.
Lastly, the editor I hired has told me that I should start looking for agents. So I am plenty excited. Keep your fingers crossed.
Later,
Jonathan

Lost and Testing

May 24th 2007 14:08
Hello all,
Hope everyone is having a great day. Watched the season finale of Lost last night and one word...Wow! I thought it was a great episode. Unfortunately, I had the episode ruined ahead of time because somebody posted the plotline on the message boards last week. I know it is my own fault for reading it, but I am an addict so it is not really my fault. The whole Flash Forward thing was good and now opens a whole bunch of other questions. (By the way, nice catch by some people that the funeral parlor name Hoffs/Drawlar is an anagram for flash forward.) Who was in the coffin? I have read speculation that it is either Ben or Sawyer. I guess it could be either since Kate didn't want to go and for Sawyer, I could imagine that at least Hurley would go. Unless, there is other speculation that only a few of them were rescued. And the thing that Jack realized that they had to get back to the island because he was wrong to leave in the first place. I know this doesn't make sense if you haven't seen it yet, but I am not recapping, just talking about it. Not enough time for a full recap today. Now the problem is having to wait until February for the next episode. That stinks. I also don't like that the episode number was decreased from 23 to 16. I love Lost and relish every episode and to think that there will be 7 fewer per year stinks, but at least they have a plan worked out. Also, poor Charlie. I read ahead of time that it was coming but was still upset by it. I know they do it to show nobody's safe, but I always hated the idea of killing off characters. That is why I like the show to begin with. You get attached to the characters and don't want to see them go. For a brief moment, I thought they were going to kill off Jack and I have to say, that would have been it. Jack is my favorite and they would have lost me if that happened. Counting the days until Februaury.
I am going back to school and I have to take a test to get in. I haven't done algenra in 15 years or more and I have to take that. I am worried out of my head right now. Watch me pass that and fail the English part.I will let you know.
Finally, I finally heard from the editor I hired yesterday. She blamed miscommunication, but I have to say that I was very nervous. I will give her the benefit of the doubt....for now.
Later,
Jonathan

Hump Day

May 23rd 2007 14:09
Good morning everybody,
Hope all is well. The week actually does seem like it is flying by so far. It's tough to think of the week in terms of waiting for the weekend, when you work out of the house. Doesn't matter though, because on the weekends I don't have to think about work and whatever problems I have to deal with during the week. It's like all of the money issues and everything aren't there on the weekends. I know it is a false sense of security, but at least it's some security. This week, I have the kids home as I have said before and it has been nice seeing them all day. Unless, they're screaming and fighting when I'm on the phone, but kids will be kids.
I know people are sick of hearing about my manuscript, but hey, too bad. It's my blog. Anyway, I have a very bad feeling about the editor I hired. She sent me the outline of problems within two days and did revisions on chapter one. It has now been a couple of weeks since she was supposed to send me the revisions for chapter two and nothing. I also find it difficult to get in touch with her. She doesn't always return calls or e-mails. It has gone through my mind about stealing material from my manuscript and I am getting worried even though we signed a contract and everything. Am very leery now and might call the whole thing off and get a different editor. Thing is, I paid the first fee and have wasted several weeks that could have been done. Frustrating, but live and learn. Anybody know any editors, please let me know

Kids at home

May 22nd 2007 14:09
Happy Tuesday,
Hope everyone is doing great. I have my kids home for the week now and then my wife asked my nephews to sleep over as well. So, I have 5 kids here, am trying to work and my wife decides to lie down for a couple of hours. I am sooooo happy with her right now. I am also trying to get all of the paperwork in place for this business we are starting. It will be E-merica web marketing, or www.emericawebmarketing.com. I am so hopeful that this will work out. We really need it. Thankfully, I have friends who are accountants and one who is a lawyer, so they are helpful for the paperwork. My wife has started coming around from her depression and maybe this can make her relax a little bit if it does. She has gone through so much, between her father passing our current business not doing well and her mother bothering her constantly. Keep your fingers crossed.
So with my kids home for the week, we are deciding what plans to do. I'm pretty sure Shrek will be in there and now we just need to fill all of the other days. One day my wife made plans for all of us to go to lunch at one of her friend's houses. Another thing I really love. I am always looking for ways out of these things, but I can't see it now. Her friend even mentioned to her that "Will we see Jonathan?" I hate sarcastic friends

Subway Series Aftermath

May 21st 2007 16:37
Good afternoon all,
Hope everyone had a great weekend. Must start on thesubway series. While I am happy that the Mets won two out of three, it just kills me that they did not sweep. It seems to me that I have been in this situation with them before. They don't seem to have that killer instinct. They seem content that they have won the series and the first two games and then are all lethargic in the final. It has happened several times before with the yankees and other teams. Yesterday would have been a good game to bury the yanks, but they sleep-walked through the game. That type of play and energy will not win a world series. That better change really soon.
On to tee-ball. My son had his last game yesterday and he played his best game of the year. Still too many times of fooling around and not paying attention, but for the most part, he did nicely. He fielded a ground ball, but before he could throw to first, another kid ran over to him and asked for the ball. My son is such a sweet kid, that he gave him the ball instead of throwing it himself. I wanted to kill the other kid. He also ran all the way to the base instead of stopping halfway through like he normally does and walking the rest of the way. And most importantly, in his last at bat, he hit it on the coach pitch instead ofthe tee. Needless to say, I was the proud father yesterday. He was beaming as well, because after the game there was a big trophy ceremony. He kept telling everybody that it was his first trophy. I had to grab him and hug him and kiss him. He was absolutely delicious

Hi everybody,
Hope everybody is having a great morning. As usual, been very busy this morning. My daughter is creating havoc through my house and when she's not, she is whining to be picked up. Lots of fun. Trying to start this website development business. That includes, increase in traffic, e-mail blasts, etc. Never realized what a pain it is to do all of the things required. Tax Id numbers, tax forms, payment schedule etc. What a headache. I just hope I am doing it all right, instead of having to worry about the IRS next April.
If anybody saw The Office last night, what a great episode.First off, I always find the relationship with Michael and Jan, very funny. What a disfunctional pair. And speaking of a disfunctional pair, thebreast job by Jan's character was a funny story. I have always found the actress, Melora Hardin, very attractive, but I like Michael last night, had a difficult time staring at her face. Wow! I know I'm a pig but I can't help it. Aren't all guys anyway? To get back to making myself more sympathetic, the ending with Jim asking Pam to dinner and then her reaction, was so sweet! I wanted to shout, "Yes!" Such an adorable pair. Probably, the cutest pair on television, in my opinion anyway. Just great. Now, I am upset that I have to wait until next season to see what happened. I know the one that plays Karen, Rashida Jones, has signed for a different show, so I am hopeful

American Idol and book

May 17th 2007 16:50
Hello everybody,
I'm not lying at all, but I saw the results on American Idol coming from a mile away yesterday. I'm sure I'm not the only one. As I mentioned with Lakisha the week before, it was probably a split of the diva vote and then you have all of the little girls voting for Blake. That and they have basically been pushing Jordin the past few weeks and I do think she will win. I think Blake is decent but he's all a gimmick that wears thin after a while. Obviously, not to the voters, but to me a while ago. I also think about what a mistake it is to have previos season's contestants appear to sing. They are so much better than this season's contestants. Not even close. Even Elliot Yamin I thought was better than the two last night. Good luck to whoever wins, but I think it is a big comedown.
Don't have much time, because as you know, my son has speech therapy today and I have to run out. I am still finishing the process on the first manuscript that I wrote and am working hard on the second one. As each page comes back from the editor with red marks, I cry a little more. Not really, but it is upsetting because in my mind everything was perfect. I had created a masterpiece. I was going to be sitting there with all of the greats. Looks like I will have to wait a little bit more until I have cleaned up the manuscript a little. As always, will keep you posted

Rainy Tuesday

May 15th 2007 13:36
Hello everybody,
Hope everyone is well. It is absolutely pouring over here. Just buckets. I had some plans to do but I think I'm going to reschedule. The good thing is that we needed the rain badly. I am in South Florida and we have water restrictions now because of the drought. My hedges were turning brown. One thing I need is my hedges, I am a very outgoing person but only away from my house. I hate seeing neighbors. I am so idiotic, that I peek out my window to see if anybody is outside before I leave the house. I'm like a hermit. Like Howard Hughes without the long nails and bottles of my own urine. Who knows, give me a year. No, I'm not that bad but the next home has to be in a countryside where my neighbors are half a mile away.I always thank the stars for my garage, so that I don't have to chit chat when I leave the house for my car. On to television.
Don't know if anybody saw the last episode of King of Queens last night. I must say that I love that show. I always find it to be laugh out loud and can't believe how under-appreciated it has been. I also didn't realize how long it has been on the air. For a show being on for so long, there really hasn't been any hoopla about it. It has always been in the shadows of other shows like Everybody loves Raymond. I thought they were both extremely funny. Kevin James cracks me up and I love that we had a love of the same sports teams(Mets and Jets) While you never know for sure, he seems like a likeable grounded person. Good luck in whatever it is that he does next. I of course haven't seen last night's episode because for those of you that have read my blob before, I am waaaaay behind on my tv viewing. We have only reached mid-December on our tivos, so are in the midst of the christmas themed shows. Thankfully, the season finales are coming up to give us a chance to catch up a little

Busy weekend

May 14th 2007 13:49
Good morning all,
What a busy and hectic weekend. Let me recap. Friday night, we started out going to my daughter's softball ceremonies. Was told to be there at 6:00 and only found out when I got there, that there was an all-star game for the older girls at that time and we wouldn't start the ceremonies until 7:30. I was not pleased to say the least. My daughter is 6 and couldn't care less about watching older girls she doesn't know play ball and doing nothing, while waiting. Meanwhile, remember that I thought we were having a surprise party on Friday night. I thought it was cute how obvious my father was being. He came with us to the ceremony and started rushing us at close to 7. So, we missed the ceremony, I had to have one of my assistants stand in for me and went to my sister's house, where the party was. My mother was very upset with my father, since he was supposed to call them on the way and he forgot. We arrived and there was everybody outside in my sister's side yard. My mother was so annoyed with my father, but I found it very amusing. The party was very nice and a nice diversion for us. I think my wife needed it since things have been so rough lately. Thanks to all who showed.
Now, on to Survivor. I enjoyed the show last night. I still think Dreamz is not the swiftest of people, but I do not fault him for going back on his word to Yau-man. The guy needs the money and so what, he got a $60,000 car, so he's supposed to give up a chance for 1 million dollars? I mean, c'mon! The only person he has to answer to at the end of the day is his kid and any parent would do a whole hell of a lot if it meant making a better life for their child. So he upset somebody that most likely he'll never see again? Who cares? I think just about everyone of us would have done the same thing. It always gets me on Survivor at all thee indignation and outrage shown by people on the jury. They are just angry that somebody got them before they got somebody else. I enjoy the show, but I do think it encourages lying and deception and it is not a good example to show children. That is why, I like the Amazing Race so much more. You don't have to backstab in that game. It is up to each team to decide their destiny

Anniversary Parties and Survivor

May 11th 2007 14:36
Happy Friday,
Hope everyone is well. I must start with Survivor today. I always say this and never do, but I have to apply for that show one day. There have got to be some of the stupidest people on that show. How Dreamz is still on the show amazes me. This guy has no plan in the game. No strategy whatsoever and just doesn't seem that bright. Unless, he's a genius that is playing the role of a lifetime and is fooling everyone. I just can't imagine how he got this far. I guess G-d helps those that don't know any better. Watch him win this thing. If I got on that show, I have a feeling that I would be outsmarting myself and get voted out right away. I like the Amazing Race so much more, although this season really stunk. I was rooting big time for Danny and Oswald and once they were eliminated, I hated all the other teams. Each one was worse than the last. I really lost interest in the whole finale, but I don't like All-star editions of any show anyway. But, I would love to be on it, so if any casting directors ever read this...
Here comes the big groan from readers, time to talk about my book. Still awaiting the next chapters from the editor that I hired to see what's up. In the meantime, I mentioned previously that my wife's cousin has already written something and has submitted it to agents. She' probably a step or two ahead of me. Spoke to her last night and she is a sweet person but her book is filled with bleakness and sex. My wife's mouth dropped open and couldn't believe that her cousin had this type of imagination in her, but it's always the quiet ones. She is still awaiting word from her agent and I am pulling hard for her to make it, one, because she is a good person and wants this and two, because then I'll have a big contact for myself. So, c'mon already

Happy Thursday to everyone,
Going to try to write quickly since as some of you know, on Tuesdays and Thursdays I take my son to speech therapy. I actually see some progress being made. More importantly, my son tries very hard and you see him attempting to make the proper sounds. I am very proud of him. Funny story from last week that I never wrote about. He is primarily working on th SH sounds right now and the teacher shows him cards with pictures and one of them was "chauffeur" and she showed him a picture of a man driving a car. My son said, "No, that's not a chauffeur, a chauffeur is a horn you blow on Rosh Hashanna. The teacher is Jewish as well, so she's the one that told me about it since she found it very funny.
On to last night television. I've said it before, when Lost is not good, it's still one of the better things on tv. When it's done right, there's absolutely nothing better. Last night's episode was fantastic. We saw the origins of Ben, played by the wonderful Michael Emerson. What a twisted little person he is, except they give him reasons. But still, that he was responsible for the deaths of almost all of the Dharma initiative. Just loved the episode. Thankfully I go and read the message boards after each show, because I missed something completely the first time watching it. (Yes, I am one of those people, nerds on the message boards) There was a man sitting in the rocking chair when Ben was speaking to "Jacob" After reading the boards, I watched the scene on Tivo in slow motion and saw him. Speaking of Locke, he had better not be dead. The same goes for Jack in the last episode. They are two of the biggest reasons why I love the show and I will seriously have a hard time watching if they are gone

Hello everybody,
Happy Wednesday. To start off, I have mentioned that we are starting a new company. It will be for website development, design and marketing. You know, increasing traffic to websites and e-mail campaigns for companies. It is my last ditch effort to make a go of things before having to find a real job since things have been so tough. While doing research about this, I have seen how much some people are making just by blogging. Unbelievavle! Some are pulling in well over six figures just by blogging. I should have started this much sooner. The thing that most of the more successful blogs have been doing is just staying to one subject. That and being controversial. Politics for example, have been very successful blog subjects. So I'm thinking that is what I should do and just pick an extreme side, hard left or extreme right and viciously attacking the other side, no matter what side it is. Unfortunately, that is just not me. I do get annoyed at things each side does. For the record, I am a registered democrat but really more moderate. However, the older I get, the more conservative views I have. As a kid growing up, I was really much more liberal in my feelings but as an adult parent, I have changed opinions about a lot of things. No need to go into what things, because I may feel some way but others may not feel the same. I do get outraged at some things in politics, but I may get outraged at democrats as well as republicans. Trust me, when I do feel really angry about something, I will vent it. To me Iraq is a tough and delicate issue. While the reasons we went may not have been entirely legitimate, there is no denying that it was a corrupt regime and the world is a better place without Hussein in it. I want the soldiers home too, but to just up and leave, I do feel will be catastrophic for the region and make us look terrible in the eyes of the world. That we just do things halfway. Why should anybody trust us after that? Things do have to be stabilized. Anyway, I said I wouldn't stand on a soapbox and that's just what I did. I'll be better.
Hope everyone has a great day and meet me back here tomorrow so I can vent about something really important, like tonight's episode of LOST

Hectic Monday

May 7th 2007 19:55
Hi all,
Once again, I'm sorry for the late post. Been swamped today. Trying to get everything organized from the weekend and for the week and also, my mother-in-law came in, so I had to pick her up from the airport. For years we have never had an ideal relationship, but now things are strange. My father-in-law passed away last year in October and it has been a trying time for everyone. I think that is a lot of the contribuing factors in my wife's depression, besides the finances. Her mother has been very difficult since then and nobody is pointing fingers, since thankfully I am not in that situation, but it has made an already unstable relationship even more sensitive. Things are now like walking on eggshells and everyone is very sensitive. It is not easy, but trying to make the best of everything. Hopefully, her week here with the three kids will help her relax.
Not to nitpick here, but whenever she comes, I am told that she is coming just for a long weekend. The trip is from today until next Wednesday, I have to show everybody the dictionary entry for weekend, but I know that this is not the time. Oh well

Thank G-d it's Friday.

May 4th 2007 14:05
Hi everybody,
Really am happy. It's been a stressful week and couldn't wait for the weekend. Since I have mentioned that business is bad, the weekends give me the illusion that everything is alright, because I'm not doing business and I just get time to spend with my family. Love being around the kids and doing things with them. My daughter's last softball game was last weekend so we are off for a while. She has gotten so much better, really proud of her. Tomorrow though, I have to take a 2 hour break from the family since I joined a writer's critique group. I have never done this before, but I heard from several people that it is a good thing to do Try to hear points from other writers. Sounds like fun or it sounds like I might run out crying if they're too harsh. Kidding (maybe). I'll update afterwards to let everybody know how that went. If other writers read this (right), then I'd appreciate any pointers or suggestions for getting a foot in the door later on.
In other ramblings, I mentioned that I coach my kids, but I still have a little life left in the body, so I play softball a couple of times a week and coach my team as well. Last night, we had our championship game and were up 14-1 in the 4th inning and lost. I'm still shell-shocked. I don't even remember how many errors there were. I catually had a little trouble falling asleep last night because I was aggravated. My wife told my daughter this morning, so she came over to give me a hug. (I was already over it, so don't worry I'm not obsessive) But my daughter brightened my day with that. Hope everybody has a great weekend and enjoys their own families as well

Off with my son

May 3rd 2007 14:08
Trying to post quickly, since I have to take my son to his speech therapy class. He has been going for a little while now and is much improved. He has a problem with his S's from thumbsucking. He'll hate that I wrote this when he's older. Anyway, I stay outside with my daughter and push her in the stroller until he's done. His class takes place in a public school and I have to tell you that I feel very creepy being an adult walking around with all these elementary school kids there. I don't know if I get strange looks or if it's just imagined, but I feel creepy nonetheless. So I finished checking the revisions on the first chapter that the editor did on my manuscript. So far so good, but with each crossed out item I see, I sometimes feel like "Wow, I really sucked." I know it's normal, but it bothers me. Hopefully, I can sell this thing when it's all said and done. Sorry to write so little this morning, but I must run. Will try to get back and do more later.

Busy Morning

May 2nd 2007 16:33
Good afternoon everybody,
Sorry I'm late today. Been a very hectic morning. Remember when I mentioned that I wrote a manuscript and hired an editor to look over? Well, I got the first chapter revisions today and have been looking them over to see whether or not I approve of the changes, I did on most of them. It is very exciting to go through the process, but I know there is a long road ahead. Keeping fingers firmly crossed. Also, I know I have been complaining about work being so slow and having to look for a new job. I am making my last ditch effort to not have to go work for somebody else after 12 years. We found a guy who is very good with website design and development as well as increasing website traffic. So I am attempting this as a business first. Hopefully, that will work out so I can stay home with my daughter. I know others do it and there's nothing wrong with sending a child to day care, but with my older two children, we kept them home until they were at least three. My youngest daughter is 14 months and I am not ready to let her go just yet. All this and then the blog maintenance was very time consuming. Will write more tomorrow and hope everybody has a great rest of Wednesday. Oh, one more thing. You just write na blog for fun, but every once in a while, somebody nice contacts you and is friendly and you chat. Makes it fun, so a big hi to Tammy.

Tuesday morning

May 1st 2007 14:52
Good morning all,
Hope all is well. Another dreary day today. My daughter is napping, so time to blog! Scouring the writing websites to see how I can market myself and the manuscript that I wrote. Hope that I can find some agent or publisher, because the noose is tightening.
Besides finishing writing, this was another hectic weekend. I coach my daughter's softball team and they had their last game. She is 6 and they are all for the most part little girls. All adorable, with a couple of exceptions, but no names. This has been my 4th season coaching and it has been fun to watch her get better from the 4 year old just starting out where she was the smallest on the team. (She's not that big now). Also, I can proudly say that my girls are much more organized than the boys of the same age on my son's team. I volunteered to coach, but was not accepted. My daughter's games interfered with my son's games some times. I wish that I was able to be at more early on, because while my son's coaches were all nice guys, I didn't feel they were properly taught even the basics. I know they were only 4 & 5 year olds, but so was my daughter when she started. Oh well, maybe it will be his turn for me to coach next season. Speaking of which, he had a game on Sunday and they are now doing coach pitch first before using the tee. On his first pitch, my 4 year old son hit it without the tee. Yes, I am a beaming Daddy. Also started another blog on sports. Sportszebras.com. I know it is a stupid name, but that's what it is. Some friend suggested it because of refs being called zebras in football and for lack of a better name I used it

I'm Back

May 1st 2007 00:12
Hi everybody,
Yes, the House Dad is back. As I wrote in my other blog, I took some time off to attempt to write a children's book. I have finished and have contacted an editor to look it over before sendint out to agents and /or publishing houses. So, if anybody out there can help, it will be much appreciated. It is for middle readers/young adults and in the fantasy genre. Enjoyed doing it and am keeping my fingers crossed. As far as the other things in my life, am still at home during the day with my 15 month old daughter while my wife is off teaching. I am afraid however, that those days may be coming to an end. Business has been bad and the bills are piling up. Am scared to death because I have been out of the work force for 12 years now, but it may not be able to be helped. Am making a last ditch attempt to be able to stay home and care for my daughter by doing a two-pronged attack. Will be looking for writing work and trying to start a website development business. Have a talented guy that knows the ins and outs and will try that first before looking for an outside job [shudder).
In any event, will keep everybody up to date on what is going on. I promise
