The heart may malfunction without Vitamin B1

On one of my previous blog pages about weight loss surgery , I talked about Vitamin B1, Thiamine. It is one of the important vitamins in the B complex group. Without it, our heart may not perform its function of pumping blood as well as supplying the blood cells with oxygen properly.
On that blog page, I suggested people should exercise to get rid of their extra fats in their belly. But before doing any exercise, you should check if you are lacking Vitamin B1, because the vitamin is essential during exercise, when energy outflow is high.
Other than those who had undergone weight loss surgeries, patients contracted diseases like anorexia, beriberi, enlarged heart, mental confusion, peripheral paralysis, tachycardia, and weakness are very likely to be lack of the vitamin. If you happen to be one of such patients, you need doctor's help to replenish plenty of such vitamin to treat your illnesses before proceeding any physical exercise.
Dietitians claim that Thiamine is a water-soluble vitamin which your body will not be able to retain. That means you need to replenish it on a regular basis. You need at least 1.5 gm of the vitamin each day to keep you body system to work normally.
Fortunately Vitamin B1 are found in most food. If you consume natural foods like wheat germ, whole grain cereals, oatmeal, peanuts, pork, oysters, whole wheat and rye flour, oranges, raisins, fish and beans such as navy regularly, you will get enough amount of the vitamin.
But one thing you should bear in mind is, you should avoid drinking too much of caffeine, alcohol, and also avoid eating too much fried foods. Because these kinds of foods and drinks may deplete the amount of the vitamin you have taken in.
To put in a nut shell, vitamin B1 is very important. Without it, our bodies' main source of fuel, adenosine triphosphate, would dry up. Then our circulation system will be in trouble.
