The Five Thin Commandments
December 2nd 2011 18:16
The five thin commandments are tactics designed to implement subtle changes in your daily weight loss plan. These are not a drastic approach nor expensive. You will not need to join any online membership or order meals from a company.
Understand that fat alone is not the enemy when it comes to weight gain. The essential fatty acids like omaga3 and omega6 are as important as your daily vitamins and with out them your body is unable to produce fat-burning hormones.
* Use a type of olive oil (extra virgin, pure, or light) instead of animal fats like butter, cream and margarine.
*Practice "light"cooking habits. Like brushing your oils on foods to be cooked and steam your veggies to preserve the nutrients.
*Eat clean. What this means is to chose foods that are whole and contain next to zero fat, like beans, whole grain, fresh fruit, and raw veggies.
*Reduce your consumption of fatty processed meats. Examples like lunch meats, which contain loads of sodium, as well as sausages and bacon cuts. Focus on lean proteins like chicken breast, sirloin, and various ocean fish.
*Purchase the low fat dairy options, not fat free these tend to sub sugar for fat and contain a higher calorie count. I would rather dollop a little less sour cream than load up on a fat free choice that contains twice the sugar.
The next trip to the store make your list using the five thin commandments and just start making these slight changes to your weight loss goal. The nice thing about these thin commandments is they are cost friendly and easy to access.
