on Kevin Smith to Write and Direct Heroes Origin story

August 17th 2007 17:10
I've been told that if I have nothing nice to say about something I shouldn't talk about it.

Soo...how about those Yankees.

Uh...I'd have sexual relations with Hayden Panettiere if someone asked nicely.

Uh...I've finally forgiven Adrian Pasdar for Near Dark.

Uh...it's better than Lost. But I guess that's like saying cancer is better than syphilitic meningitis.

I once chased Amy...but then she got a restraining order against me.

I'm leaving now.

You have to give Burt Lancaster credit. He was not afraid to be a bastard on screen. This, Elmer Gantry and a movie he did called the Swimmer all had characters that were monstrously unlikeable.

That was either the most brilliant piece of cinema verite or maybe the most contrived piece of manipulative bastardry to try to boister the career aged floppy titted has been/never truly was actress since Meg Ryan flopped out the tits Dennis Quad rejects in In My Ass.

on The Day The earth Caught Fire (1961)

March 21st 2007 14:05
We Americans like to say that we created the fucking with science and invoking a conflagration on the earth genre of science fiction but in reality it was the English. The masserated TV carcass that was Quartermass (Smooth move BBC, clearing quality so we can have 45 fucking years of fucking Coronation Street. (Yes, it's the show that gives us a shot of English life where men fuck their sisters and blow people's shops up because those men fucked other men's sister's by mistake and there are no Muslims living there) from TV and movies like Day of the Triffids, The Night Caller from Outer Space, Invasion and even up to the Donald Pleasance movie, the Mutations (with Tom "The Only Doctor" Baker).

The Day The Earth Caught Fire is part of that great tradition of "Men, you've fucked this planet for too long...now it's time to have the whale cock of revenge right up your collective asses".

You can keep On The Beach, both versions of The Thing and well, the only thing going for Invasion of the Body Snatchers (the original...not that Canadian Ham remake with Donald "Kill him Roger" Sutherland) was the fact that it was even more rabidly Anti-Russian (Yes, fuck Fydor Dostevesky, Andrei Solzhenitsyn. Ivan Pavlov and especially Konstantin Konstantinov) than that Godless facile blancmange that is Big Jim McClain, which has the uncommon distinction of being the only film by the other Duke (Marion Morrison) that I cannot finish watching...and I've seen The Quiet Man.

Anyway, English "Scientists as Abitraitors of their Own Destruction" sci-fi rules....Day The Earth Caught Fire is absolutely no exception.

on Sam Fuller: Groundbreaker and World Shaker

Perhaps that is an oversight that you need to fix Cibbuane. Sam Fuller's films are the psychological equivalent of being hit over the head with a baseball bat while having pure heroin shot into your veins by a 33 gauge needle.

They're that damned good.

on Aaron Eckhart is Harvey Dent/Two Face

March 12th 2007 15:40
As the man said, this almost makes up for Australia's own (Yeah, you fucking Koala fuckers, own your mistakes!!) Heaf "If my wife did more nude scenes, it would take the focus off her face...yes, I know she looks like what would have happened if a cat had been hit in the face by a skillet" Ledger being cast as the Joker. Yes, the I know Joker is a homosexual so it's perfect casting...well, hell I would have thought that Danny Kaye would have been a perfect choice. as a 40's Joker but that's just me.

I hope this movie restores my faith in Super Hero related material...after the screaming rainbow parade stylings of Supergirl Returns (Yes, a CGI Peter Cook gets dissed by the still fuckable Faye Dunaway!).

I could have warned them about Bryan Singer but they didn't listen to me.

Fuck em.

on Being There (1979)- Trailer Included

March 3rd 2007 11:44
This is the film that Peter Sellers was born to be in. Everything about the actor and the character meshed to be perfect. Both Chance and Sellers were essentially cyphers, I saw the first interview Michael Parkinson ever did with Sellers. His first question was "Who is Peter Sellers?" Sellers replied with complete honesty saying "When you find out, let me know".

on John Doe’s 10 WORST Best Picture Winners

March 3rd 2007 04:03
Not really.

Bridgitte is 43..Peter Fonda, her father, is in his late 60s and Jane is 70 this year.

My God...Barbarella is 70!

She is credited with the first on screen pee in a mainst...a non-porno movie.

In the original Fun with Dick & Jane from 1977, she takes a whizz while talking to her husband.

I only mention that because she basically did the same thing to her career by hooking up with Ted "I'm crazy like a fox with tertiary syphillis" Turner.
