We all knew the Dutch liked their cannabis and that in a sense it was 'legal'! You couldn't smoke in public, for instance, because you wouldn't want to corrupt the children, the future potheads. What I didn't know is that the Dutch also liked magic mushrooms which were in a sense 'legal'.
Starting next week, magic mushrooms will be banned in the Netherlands. The Dutch are trying to shed their 'anything goes' image, and at this point I say, "Good Luck with that!" They want to project the dangerous behavioral effects of the magic mushroom, thus proving their hypocrisy.
My guess is that the strip-searches of tourists returning to their own countries after visiting the Netherlands is bringing tourism down. If it was the government that allowed the use of cannabis, mushrooms, etc., shouldn't the government be responsible for inflicting health problems on their citizens? Don't hold your breath on proving that point.
It will be very interesting to see how much of a new image the Netherlands project when they ban a lifestyle that its citizens have grown accustomed to. To tell druggies to go cold turkey is unlikely to get a positive reaction. Pot isn't addicting but the pot smoker never quits...
think about it
You know you're in trouble when you can't tell tomato plants from cannabis plants. It is really a problem if you are a cop!
Somebody thought a widow's tomato plants were a cannabis factory. Talk about tax money going down the tubes. This police force must have gotten ripped-off when they bought their drug dogs!
A drug raid nets marijuana, weapons, cash and a DVD documentary of ones drug life. From a drug user in the 1960s to a present life as a dealer. It even has portions on his drug smuggling from Mexico and the difficulty of properly laundering all the cash.
Talk about a taped confession documentary-style. Vanity, money and dope all add up to stupid decisions you may regret!
Pub patrons in Scotland will soon be tested for drugs before being allowed to enter pubs. Officers will use an Itemiser, a device that can detect drug traces in seconds. Although the test is voluntary, there is a Catch-22 in that if you don't submit to the test, you can't get into the pub.
From my understanding, I believe this test is used to find traces of drugs on your hands. If you didn't handle drugs, you aren't bringing any into the pub. It makes sense if you look at a sentance from the article

Never let it be said that there aren't enough dope stories out there. Today I have 2 intriguing stories about marijuana.
Here's a mother who let her kids grow and sell pot from her home. Her sons already had previous marijuana charges. Although it doesn't say it, we can bet the kids were smoking it, too

Having a pro-pot festival is more than likely to bring in law-enforcement. The organizer critisized the police for invading the festival without a warrant. Take note, potheads:A warrant is not needed if you invite the general public to your private land! After all, the police are part of the public.
...an event in which the public is invited is open to all visitors, even police, without a warrant

With a name like Dumbass Daily, it has to be good! Then when it goes on to say 'News from the shallow end of the gene pool' that is just priceless! I will bookmark this site, fer shur!
Now back to the topic at hand

Marijuana gardens are popping-up all over in places that approved pot for medical use. It seems that many are seeking the benefit of marijuana use for medicinal purposes since cardholders have gone up 23% in a seven month period.
So head for the pot-friendly states, pothead!
Another stupid stoner proves that drugs help you make stupid decisions when you can't afford them. In case there is any doubt about this, I am about to introduce the latest 'bad choice' due to drug use. If you're going to rob a liquor store, don't drink the booze in the store!
In case there is any doubt that this doper was under the influence of drugs, take note

It is becoming a trend as more and more people are drawing attention to themselves while doing something illegal. At times it sounds like a broken record as some dopers do stupid things to get caught. Now we see what happens when you mix alcohol, marijuana and cocaine and get behind the wheel.
You get clocked doing 163 MPH in a 45 MPH speed limit, and run by a cop who had somebody pulled over already. The driver, after a few reckless incidents, stopped the truck in the middle of the road, got out, put his hands in the air, saying, "I was wrong," and "I'm drunk." He was helpful in that he was near the jail he would soon call home
