The colour is 'autumnal'
September 8th 2009 06:43
A friend asked me recently why we painted our house orange when we had a red roof. I corrected her and said it was 'autumnal' which really means it has a more terracotta look.
To her credit, she had only seen the house from a distance at that point and changed her mind when she saw it.
These photos show the painting in progress. The whole house has now been done and the eaves are an off white colour. They no longer have foot prints on them! I'm just impressed the builders can stand upside down!.
