The Clown
October 13th 2008 00:40
Depression is one big ferris wheel,
One minute you’re up,
And the next minute you’re down,
And down,
And down.
On the down chocolate is a friend,
A clown who comforts you during the blue hour,
On the up the clown is an enemy,
‘Cos it brings along zits to your depression party.
Wishing you were Brad Pitt’s wife brings on a joyous mood,
But crashing back to earth your reality is harsh,
The clown is a friend again,
Til you break up with it.
Reassuring yourself isn’t easy,
The evil voice tells you so,
It cries out that you need their friendship,
Then sings a song that says “You are weak.”
Yes I have a healthy relationship with the clown,
I always surrender to my weakness,
It takes care of me,
And I keep it in eternal business.
