The Channel

]The Channel
Roaring from the depths,
With candour and intent.
Veiled with ancient memories
Of stories told and known………
A meeting place once sort,
Where oft the sorrowed lover
Would seek counsel from the sprits
Who cast themselves upon the spray
And rode its nebulous cascade
In joyful search of life’s adventure,
With all to be had, as was their will
So wantful were they
That every moment’s candour
Could less contain their need
As it rose unbidden, in spry desire
To quench the endless asking
Of the humankind,
So lost and uninspired to know
The realness of their lot.
But hence the lonely traveller would,
Wretched and bereft of soul
Bellow and rage,
Upon the smooth stones of regret…..
Having sort to know the seeker
Without knowledge of the seeking
And so here it be
Upon where earth and sea unite
This place so sought
For its imagined charms
Has been found wanting
And called to answer………
Oh channel of unknown solace
Regard with sacred knowlegde
Of ever kin and kind
As we beseech your mercy
And honour your embrace.[/SIZE]
