The Butterfly: The Beauty of a Woman

The Butterfly: The Beauty of a Woman

Women are beautiful, sensual creatures. We deserve to expect respect. Not from men. Never from men...men are like children. They will do as we tell them to do. They are lovers of butterflies and we own the butterfly, don't we? No, I am not talking about forcing men to respect us.

This is not a women's movement moment that I am writing about. We deserve respect from one another, from ourselves, from our friends, our sisters and our teachers...we must stop with our self hatred. Although I am just talking between us girls right now, men must not be allowed to believe that we are meek or fearful. They must not think they can cum and go...as though we are property.

We own ourselves, our thoughts, our dreams and goals. We are worth our own respect. We are worth our won respect. Take a look at yourself, my sister, and know that you are beautiful today.

You are beautiful in every way. Have a wonderful day...

Your text goes hereHurrah!!!!! I absolutely, posiively, quantitatively agree with everything u wrote here. I am so glad u have discovered the inner woman in u; the moxy that makes u unique, & the beauty that lies both inside & outside. It's always been there.

Moonbeam,
Your name reminds me of one of my favorite aunts. Whenever I see the moon, I think of her. She has the ability to be amazingly present, you cannot dismiss her. And if needed, she has the strength to make the ocean obey her. May I call you Auntie Moonbeam? :c)

I have had only the best examples surrounding me my entire life. It was bound to happen...

I hope many young girls encounter words like these. I hate to see how so many young women are selling themselves short. They are smart, talented, compassionate young ladies who will bare their all for the sake of a little attention.

Bras and panties exposed over the necklines or waistlines of their clothes, butt-cracks and wannabe cleavage pushed to the surface so they'll have a chance of being "noticed". Such a shame. Teens and pre-teens have lost their understanding of true beauty and are freely distributing what should be cherished and valued.

I am so sad when I see youngin's listing Jessica Simpson as their role model and "playing dumb" every chance they get, punctuated by flirtatious giggles. No girls, no! Do NOT play dumb! Don't flaunt the flesh freely to those who could never understand its value! Celebrate the glorious wonders of who and what you are and protect and preserve your treasures for the worthy!

Wendi,
Sister of my soul, I could not agree with you more...I have two precious young girls and every chance I get, I tell them how important they are, and should be treated as such. Any man with enough balls to think they are worthy of my girls...has to get through me...and their very intimidating father...I wish them luck...they are going to need it!

I wonder what the world would be like if no one expected respect from anyone -- if no one took their cue from other people, so to speak, or let anyone else's opinions influence their actions.

Incidentally, I have to admit I find the butterfly image disturbing -- both phallic and clitoral.

Adrian,
I am not an artist and it was not supposed to be completely identifiable as sexual...but I am sorry that it reminded you of a penis...that is unfortunate, isn't it? *smile*

As for the rest of your comment, oh what a wonderful world it would be...damn near utopia.
