The Best Things in Life Are Free... or the cost of a tub of ice-cream
April 2nd 2007 10:34
Tree leaves! Even though it was a lovely sunny day yesterday it was extremely windy. We had to pop out to the supermarket to do a bit of shopping and it wasn't until we stepped out the front door we realised how windy it was. Not to matter though Callum loved it as there were loads of tree leaves being blown around. It took us about five minutes or so to get him down the alleyway as he was chasing them round and round trying to jump on them and stop them. It looked so much fun that I joined in too... maybe that now explains how long it took to get a journey of 30 seconds...
Eventually we made it to the supermarket and something about the sunny weather made me fancy some ice-cream so we bought a tub of creamy cornish vanilla ice-cream to have after our dinner. Callum and I covered ours in those little cake decorations hundreds and thousands and chocolate sprinkles and sat and took our time eating it. Yum Yum. Quickly Callum's spoon was discarded as he found that eating with his fingers or sticking his tongue into the bowl was much more fun, especially when he stood up on the chair opposite the huge mirror and could watch himself doing this, while dancing to whichever song was playing on my pink Nano and getting dirtier and dirtier. Over thirty minutes it took for a couple scoops of ice-cream to be eaten and my little monkey monster had the time of his life. When I've downloaded the photos I'll post some of the pictures.

Sometimes it's lovely just to forget your inhibitions and be a child once more, isn't it.
What I want to know is did you also sit in front of the mirror and lick the ice cream from your bowl?
Come on, now, tell the truth ...

Callum says thank you for the hugs, he loves loves loves hugs.
Hello Andrea,
I'm always trying to be a child, it helps having a monkey monster it tow so you're allowed a lot more often to let out your inhibitions and act childish.
Hmmm... to be honest I was too busy trying to get a photo but it did look fun and tempting, another day I think I will. Maybe I'll do the whole "try not to lick your lips when your eating a sugar coated donut" thing. LOL
Thank you both for popping by.
Take Care.
Sarah.
