The Bee Saga Continues
March 15th 2010 15:25
I wrote about the disappearing bee colonies in this blog before. I thought we had found the culprit and science was dealing with it. It was either a parasite or something called colony collapse disorder(CCD). It seems that the problem has not been solved and bee colonies continue to diminish in numbers at a rapid pace.
It seems that there might be a bunch of reasons that are contributing to this problem. Parasites, disease, following an unnatural order.
I'll throw in my theory in that bees are being used just for pollination and the honey is secondary. They are specialized in pollinating certain plants rather than being allowed to roam and pollinate where they desire. Moving them from various time zones doesn't help because the sun plays an important role in pollination. They communicate with the hive where the pollinating plants are according to the angle of the sun.
My bottom line theory is that something is affecting the natural order of the bees. Only time will tell folks!
