Atheist: One who denies the existence of God
What does the atheist cry when he's drowning?
"God, help me," I would cry.
What else does one cry in such a situation?
Does the atheist cry out to the nearest dolphin to save him?
Or, does he just accept the fact that he's drowning and quietly slip away?

Really doesn't matter where it comes from.

Typically if someone is drowning they yell... well nothing, their lungs are full of water, they might try and sputter something, but it is generally incomprehensible.
Generally I would say that a dying atheist would fight harder to live than a religous zealot. The zealot welcomes their fate to be embraced into the afterlife, the atheist knows that this is the one life you have, death is a finality, you fight to survive because if you fail there is nothing.
