Tattoo's rock...do it for sure

Funny I was going to write a post on Tattoo's this morning when I saw a headline from a fellow orbler......to tatt or not to tatt
The reason I was going to write a post is that I am sitting in worlds of pain from my latest addition to my Tattoo family - I only have four very subtely placed tattoo's I am not as cool as David Beckham who has endured untold amounts of pain inking his upper torso, I did get my first one before him tho
-
All pain aside, Tattoo's are definitely worth it so I say do it.
Tattoo's are very personal things, a person should not underestimate the power of etching something into your skin forever, the image or the words you chose become a part of you, they can chage the way you think and feel, especially the way you look at life.
What exactly they do an dohw it works for everyone I am not quite sure. All i know is what I have experienced.
The first Tattoo I had done, I chose very carefully and had someone draw the image for me and I still love it to this day. The outline of it is the shape of a triangle which i didn't think anything of at the time. While it was being etched into my body I had to breathe through worlds of pain, inside this world of pain I began to see everything in my life from a different perspective - not quite an out of body experience - just a different perspective, things I had been doing, feelings I had been hiding even from myself suddenly became very clear to me. - The symbol of a Triangle signifies change, I knew this but hadn't thought of it at the time of designing my first Tattoo- This clarity remained with me and the period after I had my first Tattoo done became a significant period of change in my life: some of it was amazing, some painful but all good.....
I have had similar experiences with all the other Tattoo's that I have had whether it is learning to accept myself or embracing love. I don't know what change this new Tattoo will bring, it came to me by accident and I can feel its positive enrgy in my body through the pain already and I can feel things moving in my mind and the world arround me.
So my advice to anyone thinking of getting a Tattoo is - do it - but think very carefully about what you decide to have on your body, it becomes a big part of you and who you are and mine have been a wonderful powerful addition to my life.
Mysecond Tattoo was a "poem" I wrote
"In my dreams I am free. In this life I will find the road to free my dreams and my soul"

what a great saying to carry around with you for the rest of your life!
Me though? I thought about getting a tat a few times...But everytime I worked the nerve up to do it, whomever was with me at the time pussed out...
Ah well, maybe in my next life eh?
Great read by the way...
Take care,
Nick
