Drowning.

Is it simply me, or are there others out there who are bored to tears regarding the lives of people such as Jordan, Peter-Andre & David & Victoria Beckham?
I mean let us be really honest here Victoria Beckham would probably have faded into obscurity after the spice-girls split-up,..... yet because she married David Beckham she became a so-called fashion-icon, ( all i personally see is a female who is far too skinny & as far as i am concerned a dangerous role-model for young girls today),.... that is a FACT.

As for Jordan, ( Katie-Price) well for a while she appeared to come across as a much more settled person who had finally found happiness in her role as a mother & later on as a wife.
The truth is she is shallow, disgustingly vile with her mouth so severely entrenched within her little world of make-believe that she fails to now see all that is truly important in life.
I am not saying that she should not be able to enjoy the odd evening-out with friends, ( partying etc), but flaunting & flashing at any man who cares to pay her any attention is something that i find to be somewhat pathetic for a woman of over thirty.
She is definitely NO role-model for the youth of today,..... she has more than enough money to be able to stay at home for a while & be with her children while they are still very young.
I am sure that attending certain functions is important to her ' career ', however i am sure that she does not need to attend every party that she is invited to.

I understand that there are many people who actually follow ( or are actually obsessed) by the lives & loves of celebrities & that for them is fine,...... but there is so much more to life for goodness sake.
Labelled clothing, handbags, shoes, trainers etc are all a definite mystery to me,...... i would have thought that it is far more important to be an individual, than to be someone who simply ' follows the crowd ',..... yet everyone is entitled to their thoughts and feelings on these issues.

If i was going to have anything emblazoned across my chest when it comes to clothing i would prefer to be making an important statement in life, or indeed make sure that whatever was written on my chest said something amusing.

Whatever happened to actually reading wonderful books, listening to meaningful music & the importance & beauty of the written word?
Whatever happened to REAL role models for young people to model themselves on?
This toxic, acidic, violent world that we have all come to now know as NORMAL is terrifying, ( as well as in many cases very stolid),...... this world is one that we as human-beings have ourselves helped to polute,...... isn't it time we all at least attempted to 'ring the changes ' !

I myself grew-up as a teenager of the 1980's yet my heart and soul belong to the 1960's-1970's era, the music was ( and still is head and shoulders above the meaningless lyrics that are written today), the clothes were amazing ( as well as fun), women knew what elegance truly was and women such as Audrey-Hepburn and Ann Margaret were not only beautiful, but they had brains as well as elegance in abundance.

I write this in the hope that there are others who may be of the same thought ( on the same wavelength) as myself,...... yet i also hope that thre is truly some REAL hope for this world we all live-in,...... otherwise where does that leave our children and future generations who will come afterwards?

Today as i sifted through the daily news while almost the entire general-public is concentrating on the death of Michael-Jackson, ( yes it is a terrible tragedy i admit), however personally i saw it coming, ..... for so many reasons, HOWEVER my attention was drawn to yet ANOTHER headline involving the death of a child

It has been just over three years now that my children & myself have finally learned to move-on after enduring one of the most soul-destroying times in all of our lives
