Tactical Genius- September 11

September 15th 2006 03:03
This week has once again refreshed our memories of September 11 five years ago. A day that captivated audiences around the world, it was the day the world's super power was infiltrated by Al Qaeda, led by a relatively unknown by the name of Osama Bin Laden.

Five years on, one can't but still admire the thought process behind Osama’s grand plan to take on the U.S. ‘Yes’ it was cruel and 'yes’ thousands of innocent lives were impacted, totally one hundred percent agreed. It was a violent attack on U.S soil, something that cannot be tolerated. Yet why does one sit back and try to understand the plot, was it a plot or mass murder??

Should the world and in particular the U.S be reminded every five years of how they were made to look quite inane in their attempts to with stand this tactical aerial offence. Should George Bush be reminded of how he sat in a classroom for ten minutes completely mesmerised by the events that would eventually dictate his leadership.

Every time these events are broadcasted Osama must sit and smile a smile that continues to haunt the U.S government. In a perfect world Osama would have already been punished for his majestic deeds that shocked the world. As it stands the U.S government is as far from him now as it was then, now there’s justice right??

well you can admire osama the way you admire hitler, I don't know how it works though...

Honestly the US has only proven how exceptionally incompetant it is at catching this one man who looks like will die of old age before the US will be within 100 miles of speculating his actual whereabots.

Perhaps every time, this time of year, we should recollect and be reminded of the incompetance of a so-called world power hell bent on revenge. REmember though powerful, it is no more than a young man with strength, but brimming to the tip with ignorance.

I believe the US government has not been incompetent they (government) simply choose to ignore such threats. Another terror attack on the U.S is very unlikely considering the security precautions that have since been implemented. It is now a problem for one of their many allies, the U.S are more than happy watching as one of its allies is targeted again.

The solution is simply not to align oneself with the United States then. But I suppose that makes you the United States enemy...

How right you are. Sometimes it’s easier being the enemy rather than pretending to be the ally. So where does one stand..

Theres an old saying (I think it's old), that an ally significantly more powerful than you is worse than an enemy.

I mean, if Australia for instance just steps back and doesn't support while at the same time doesn't go against what the united states is dong (vocally) then we won't be a target of either side.

We are right now fighting a war in Iraq that is not our war at all, how much money are we just throwing away simply to appease george bush so he mentions John Howard every once in a blue moon?

We are fighting a war that has nothing to do with Australia. From a moral perspective this war will never be won. The rest of the world are not applauding us for our (Australia’s) decisions and our actions, we are merely puppets for Bush’s entertainment.

Taking a stand for good or bad may affect our lovely nation but what doesn’t kill you will eventually make you stronger. Our nation is weak and prospering in the eyes of another visionary. It’s time create our own destiny and move with the times ahead.

One may also like to consider the countless conspiracy theories that have been unleashed since the tragedies of 9/11.

As dissapointing it is to see the word terrorism become an integral part of our lives, it doesn't take much for the average person to fear not terrorism but the war on terror.

The war on terror has just reached it's 5th year anniversary. We have all witnessed the aftermath, the destructive path led by the U.S and it's allies.

11, July 2006. The 'terrorists' have hit again, but this time it's not relevant. It's only India, and only 209 people lost their lives.

'The US Secretary-General demands the Indian Government not to make any erratic decisions and stay focused on the ultimate goal. Yet, it is safe and acceptable for Israel to pursue a war against Lebanon?

Are we just paranoid conspiracy theorists when we assume the alliance has formed a secret-society, the illuminati?

Or on the other hand: "Has the world just gone mad?"

Well why would the US allow india to do anything that doesn't further the US' goal on a proverbial world domination?

Well that’s exactly right, India is also pawn in a strategic game that leads to the U.S having more tactical power.

Unfortunately countries like India and China are not using their economic status to a more pro-active stance that will eventually force the U.S to compromise their directives.

And I'm glad they aren't. Just about everything is made in China, if china sanctions the US they will sanction australia too...

China Sanctioning the US will not lead to them sanctioning Australia. Australia is one of China's biggest trading partners. In the last Yr alone we have managed to secure a Multi billion dollar deal to supply them with gas.

We are the worlds and most importantly China's largest supplier of Uranium, and in their eyes this makes us "mates".

International Politics is a dog eat dog world, you scratch my back and i will scratch yours. At the moment Australia is scratching both Chinas and the US's back.

If a war ever broke out b/w the US and China then this nation has the backbone to stay out of it, as taking either side will ultimately make us losers.

Why then are we not staying out of Iraq? Because we have more to gain by siding with the US.

A Classic example of us sitting on the fence is Australia’s position towards Twain. We are not supporting China and we are definitely not supporting the US.

The world hasn’t gone mad. It’s just that
Power = Greed
Greed = the world we are living today

ok, lets ally with china and dump the US' sorry arse

Atleast china won't get us to fight its wars for us under the guise of world peace.. then again, as the saying goes, 'a powerful ally is even more dangerou shtan a powerful enemy'...
