Super Nanny knows it all???
Ok, so here in Spain Friday nights we get to enjoy an episode of the Super Nanny . For all of you who don’t know who super nanny is, let me just say, she is supposed to be an expert in children, a psychologist with experience in the know how of raising children and overall know it all in the art of rasing a good educated and behaved child.. ok having said that, we are supposed to watch and learn from this “education guru’.
After a few minutes in to the show, I start to think to myself.. does this woman have children of her own? I needed to find out. I ran to the internet and started doing some research and yes, you guess it.. Nop nothing no kids.. She is a 32 single woman.. hahaha!! I don’t care how many diplomas she has and how many kids and families she has helped.. No one could come in to my house and tell me how to raise my kids when they don't know what it is like to live with children 24 hours a day..
I returned to watch the second half of the show (now with a cynical view of it) and there she was this supper nanny telling these poor parents how wrong they were in their actions and how they needed to learn sooo much from her.. although she had a couple of great points, we know in real life with kids you have to take it day by day.. there is no rule book everyone can follow because every child is different and every child has different needs.
So, I have nothing further to say other than figure out what works for you. Only you know your kids. I give my children all the love in the world and attempt to educate them the best I know how and as long as they are happy and healthy, I’m the best super nanny in this case the best super mom!!
