Flashes of memories - MUGABE MUST GO!!! ZIMBABWEANS NEED THEIR HOME BACK

There are as many nights as days, and the one is just as long as the other in the year's course. Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word 'happy' would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness - Carl Jung To be at one with God is to be at peace ... peace is to be found only within, and unless one finds it there he will never find it at all. Peace lies not in the external world. It lies within one's own soul. - Ralph Waldo Trine

sunday ramblings

Running running running gotta keep running who knows from what or to where the wind is blowing gently outside as star shaped clouds drift through a purple sky and a lone bird walks its shadows along the short cut curls of the ragged grass that is swaying gently in the mirrored reflections of a thousand tiny laughter tears of a child that cried yesterday and was caught by the hand of an angel they were running too but they had a different race to run where they knew what the prize was and there was a mission to their journey unlike the untold paths that kept opening at each and every corner of the diamond shaped cross road that zigged and zagged across the landscape with its lightening shaped cut that scarred the earth tomorrows train ride is yesterdays journey as the scenes blur and the fire rages in the dragons breath to light the heart that fell from the chest as the purged demons of a lifetimes memories scattered and spewed forth to mix with the gritty grains and dirty sprinkles of sparkled sunlight and moonbeams caressing the midnight dark boughs of the silhouetted trees in the distance the gruff rumbling of thunder shakes the dusty ground as a thousand eyes peer between the breaks in the leaves and the twigs of the little people houses and the waves crash along the lone shore where seagulls forgot to fly over and ships forgot to sail past and the old man waits with his telescope to catch a glimpse of the love he lost to the curling foamy waters in days when they were black and white and scratched film caught his memories that now hang in the air depleted rooms of the old museum that nobody visits

Ash,

I liked this too, I might have a go at a 'ramble' myself ... you wouldn't believe the agonising I do over punctuation - and...commas, bloody commas - even on first drafts and idea scribbling! Comas... they drive me insane... put them here, put them there ..and it changes the whole sentence *manic laughter*

It might do me some good to have a go at just writing it like this for a change... looking at what you have 'downloaded' here, I am struck by the potential now available to 're-track' across this at a later date and draw a beautiful vignette, or poem from the essense and imagery of any one part of it. Gosh our minds are so rich, aren;t they?

Thank you for sharing and the inspiration...

Lilla ...

WOW!
This was so wonderful to read....I feel like reading it over and over just to feel those sensations rolling over me again like waves....To escape again into those perfect phrases. It always amazes me that people dont buy this style of writing - so powerful. Your talent is awesome.

Hi Babyjrulz

Thank you and and also for stopping by.

I try and do this sort of writing at least once a week and especially when I have a mental block. It`s sort of like shaking your head and getting all your thoughts to sort themselves out a bit. Even if it doesnt make sense... well the point is that it doesn`t matter so grammar, punctuation and all that nonsense is not important... everytime you read it, it could mean something totally different.

hahahahahaha Lilla you crack me up!

I know what you mean about the comma's... personally I don`t really pay too much attention until the very end to punctuation... it gets in the way of the thoughts for me... when they come, they come fast and they need to be scribbled down lest they fly off on the breeze and be lost forever!

I`d love to read everyone`s rambles too... that would be great! And you are right they are excellent to come back to at a later stage and draw from
