I maybe too late to share this with everyone but I think it would be best to let you know what do we have in the store for the DVD itself. If you'd like to know the tracklist for the DVD and the controversial cover, you can check my post here.
Now, let's start with what you will get if you buy the first press release. It doesn't matter where you buy, you'll get a B2 poster.
Let's see what other stores will offer in addition with B2 poster.
Tower Record
There will be an event in Tower Record Shibuya on December 17 at 6 p.m. The event is conducted in conjunction with the appreciation for DIM SCENE live and also for their December 24 live (what the hell is that??) so they'll be screening the live in Tower Record Shibuya on that day.
If you want to participate in this event, all you need to do is to buy the DVD (limited edition) in Tower Record during the first event and you'll get a ticket. One ticket is entitled for 2 people which mean you can bring a friend with you to participate this event.
This is the only thing I understand. Sorry, my Japanese is very limited m(_ _)m
HMV
You'll get original clear file (A4 size) in addition. You can see how the clear file looks like here.
Tsutaya Record
You will get a replica of the tour pass sticker (I don't get with the southern cross part here).
Original Shop
Yuzudo Company - postcard
GURUGURU - pamphlet
Mino Shop - aluminium card case
ZEAL LINK - logo pick strap
Jishuban Club - muffler with special jacket case
Like an Edison - keyholder
Brand X - pamphlet
Nack5 Town - Eco PR bag
Skull Rose - strap
I know CDJapan may not offer these privilege unlike those stores, but if you still haven't preorder the DVD (don't miss the poster), you can preorder yours here:
Actually, I'm looking forward to know what kind of poster we will get. Of course it'll be the poster with them in DIM outfit but I still want to know how does the poster looks like. The bonus from HMV is tempting because they have included how does the clear file looks like. Maybe I'm being paranoid but....Uruha does looks different in there. It's not he looks horrible, it's just that he looks awesome *____*. Okay, I'll get over with Uruha now.
Let me apologize again for my crappy translation about Tower Record event. I don't really understand much about the event so it's hard for me to translate this part. Too bad, there's nothing special about the privilege from Tower Record (that's what I think).
The rest of the privilege from original shop is pretty usual for me but then again, I'm satisfied with what CDJapan gives.
I was wondering is privilege matter to you or you couldn't care less about the privilege as long as you get what you're supposed to get?
Age rating: Teenagers (May contain bloody violence, bad language, nudity)
Synopsis: In a future where the world has been ravaged by a nuclear apocalyse, there exists salvation in a domed city named "Romdeau", where humans and their android servants, the autoreivs, live in. Under the implementation of complete management control, it is a paradise where feelings are literally discarded, and the governing council dictates the way of life the citizens should live. But this utopian landscape is soon broken by a series of mystifying murders. Real Mayar, a female inspector from the Citizen Information Bureau, along with her autoreiv partner Iggy, are tasked to solve the murder cases. She is soon attacked by a creature drawn to her which is neither human nor android, and learns about the mysterious phenomena called "Awakening", an event which draws her further into the case...and to the world beyond the limits of Romdeau.
I rarely watched sci-fi anime and Ergo Proxy is the one and only sci-fi anime I've ever watched because Real looks so cool. Let me be honest with you that I'm not really that into sci-fi anime so please forgive me if my review sounds like an amateur.
When the storyline is concerned, I can only say that the storyline is indeed very deep so you may feel like the story can be very dry and suffocating. I supposed this is what the sci-fi genre is all about - the storyline can be very dead serious, the atmosphere is very gloomy and of course full of mysteries that keep on appearing more as the story progressed. Despite of this, I find that the storyline is unique in its own way.
I love the eye makeup
This anime has a lot of life lessons that we can learn upon such as everybody is deserved to lead a good quality life. From what the anime is portrayed, those who live outside of the dome are not meant to live inside the dorm as somehow they were accused as low level creatures. Due to this, they dont even allow to go in, forget about living there. I wont say anything much about the life lessons in this anime, but I can say that this anime really does deliver deep messages to those who are watching.
Despite of having deep and heavy storyline, sometimes this anime takes a different route by including what would I call laidback episode where they are taking part in a quiz show. Yeah, thats absolutely hilarious and out of place but this is for the best because the storyline is getting intense as it progressed.
Something you would never see in sci-fi anime
I would say that I really love the character designs for this anime. Among all of the autoreivs who don't even resemble humans, Pino is the one and only autoreivs who does resemble human. Even if Pino is not an autoreivs, she can still be considered as an android right? Character design for Real is typical for any sci-fi anime but then again, the reason why I want to watch this anime in the first place is because of her.
Okay, Pino is the one and only android who is cute
Overall, this anime may just be the typical sci-fi anime like Ghost In The Shell but it still have its own unique way that would make this anime feels like not-another-sci-fi-anime feeling. The storyline is very deep, full of mysteries which I doubt many people would enjoy watching this kind of anime. The visual is cool but if you hate sci-fi anime because of its complicated storyline, I highly suggest that you avoid this anime at all cost. For those who love sci-fi anime, Ghost In The Shell fans and those who are looking for short term sci-fi anime (Ghost In The Shell is a very long sequence anime) or who just simply looking for extra-ordinary looking anime, this anime is for you.

When I saw the cover for the first time, I thought it's a cover for a book, lol. I know that majority of people out there must have hate this cover because it doesn't look cool at all, it must be a joke and a simple word, what an ugly cover. Honestly, I've no idea how cool and nice were the previous covers (it doesn't matter whether it's the cover for singles, albums and DVD), I just find that every single covers are so bizarre and I've never like any of those covers (okay, Ruki will kill me if he knows this). You must have known this by now that the one and only covers that I like the most are from Kagrra and Plastic Tree comes second. I couldn't care less how ugly and uncool is this cover, at the end of the day you just toss the cover and watch the DVD. Ruki would say that I don't have any appreciation for arts (especially his arts) but sadly yes, I have no idea how to appreciate arts other than it's beautiful. If you want me to relate with the songs or the live theme in general, I can't because I SUCK IN ARTS. Okay, I rant a lot about the cover so again, let me say it again I could be one of the few who just take the DVD and toss the cover - this indicates I don't care about the cover at all.
The tracklist is perfectly fine with me because I've been looking forward to see 13Stairs[-]1 (obviously) and Headache Man live. Everybody who has been to the live said that 13Stairs[-]1 live is awesome and Reita had even said himself that he really love Headache Man live. So yeah, I just can't wait to get my hands on this DVD.
The bonus disc is surprisingly short because I was expecting to see backstage T____T. But then again, at least it's not as boring as the bonus disc for RCE (obviously Uruha's part is not boring, lol). Let's just hope for the best, shall we?
So, do you like the cover or you're just like me - can't be bothered with the cover?
I know I haven't been updated this blog for so long (and no, I never forget this blog) because there's no news lately (or I must have live in a cave). But then again, if you have heard that An Cafe will release a compilation album, here's the details.
An Cafe's single which is the OP of the anime, Darker Than Black (also known as Kuro no Keiyakusha in Japanese). This review is based on the limited pressing version.
I'm in the middle of watching the live broadcast of V-Rock Festival but I still won't forget to write review for Kagrra's new single, Shiki. Just to let you know, Kagrra is also performing in V-Rock Festival and they performed Shiki too. Anyway, this review will be based on regular edition version.
If you're wondering how does the cover for P!NK Masquerade looks like, have a look at it here and sorry for small pics. This is the only size I can find.
I know it's sad to be unable to watch this event live since there are so many famous bands are performing in this event. Since the performing bands have been finalized, have a look at the timetable below to find out when each band will perform.
Here's a few pics of SuG in Zeal Link appearance yesterday courtesy of Zeal Link staff blog. Thanks to psycleslut from Live Journal for pointing this out.
When I think about it, the 'where' part sounds suspicious to me, lol.
Yeah, I do hope there is a little bit of backstage but sadly they don't include that in this DVD. They might not include the backstage stuff anymore in the future release T^T
I just hope it's not like the DIM poster we get when we buy DIM because Uruha looks like a vampire there though I wouldn't mind about the vampire effect
Yup, there are a lot of reactions about the DVD cover. This is the most heated conversation I've ever seen regarding cover, lol
You can give HMV a try. Those who buy at HMV said that the shipping by EMS is cheaper than the one in CDJapan.
I do hope the poster will look awesome. Obviously I want the poster which I can see Uruha clearly, lol.
I am not sure about this multi-angle footage, but I think you can control the camera angle to who and where do you want to focus In this case I will focus on Uruha all the time, XDDD
Yeah, I bet fans will still buy the DVD despite of how the cover looks like.
@nika: Don't feel so bad even though English is not your first language even English is also not my first language. At least your English is better than Ruki, lol good.
Okay, I'll talk about the privilege in another post XD
As I expected, most people don't like the cover. And I never thought there are a lot of anonymous so how can I address all of you?
@anonymous: I wish arts is like math so then nobody can argue about this cover because the reason is absolutely valid. That's the reason why anybody can say whatever they want because beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. Yeah, the cover is ugly but I don't care how ugly the cover is because all I care is the DVD. This is what matter the most. The cover would be the last thing I've ever considered. I think I should be worried about the bonus disc instead of the cover.
Don't worry, Nika. Everybody does exaggerate at the look of the cover and I think some won't buy because of the cover. If the cover is the critical reason for buying this DVD, I also would think it's ridiculous.
Everyone, do you want me to post the privilege here or in another post? I don't really get what Tower Records is offering though =____=""
When I think about it, I think this is the funniest cover ever. When we take a look at the previous covers, you can see that the covers are way complicated and we have no idea that how Ruki can achieved such things. But for this cover, I believe that the simplest art cover I've ever seen. What Ruki tried to achieve is most probably simplicity. I think the reason why the cover is only just a sketch because he doesn't need to create anything fancy in order to impress people. Whatever reason is, I still think that the cover is weird.
Not to worry, Ruki will hate me too because I'm always siding with Uruha but never him because I also hate the cover, lol.
I'm also wondering the same thing. If we can adjust the camera angle, that would be good XD
