Keroro Gunso manga review
July 3rd 2009 13:43
Keroro Gunso is a manga created by Mine Yoshizaki. This manga is also adapted to anime. You can read my review about this anime here.
Genres: action, comedy, science fiction
Age rating: Teenagers (May contain bloody violence, bad language, nudity)
Synopsis: The Hinata household is your typical, everyday Japanese household, it consists of: Aki, the mother who is a manga editor, Natsumi, the older sister that is perfect at school, but bossy at home, Fuyuki, the little brother that is in the occult club at school, and Sgt. Keroro, the frog-like alien that was sent here as part of an invasion force to take over Pokopen (Earth). As the Sgt.'s comrades appear, the only defense against the invasion of Earth are the Hinata household and other friends.

The anime is interesting enough fulls with Gunsou's crazy antiques, so does the manga version. Even though the manga version has a lot more crazy antiques compared with the anime version since they have cut some parts from the manga for the anime version, honestly you don't miss that much. If you have watched the anime version, you know that the storyline is pretty random and it doesn't really have a proper storyline.
Now, this is something that I need to tell you because you may not be able to see this if you're reading the English version. Again, if you have watched the anime, you will notice that Gunso really loves talking in Kansai-ben. Well, if you're reading the manga in Japanese, of course you may not understand what's he talking about unless you know Kansai-ben. I have difficulty reading the manga in Japanese because I don't know Kansai-ben so you may not enjoy the manga much. The manga also has lots of dialogues so you really have to read it slowly plus with the Kansai-ben, you have to read it even slower.
Speaking of the artwork, the artwork is pretty impressive and neat as well, making this manga pleasant to read. Have a look at the artwork yourself here:
Overall, this manga is a good read if you're looking for comedy manga but if you're reading the manga in Japanese, you have to bear with the Kansai-ben

I don't know whether she did it on purpose or not. The interviewer said that she was crowd surfing but she was just wearing a skirt without the stocking. Since it's crowd surfing plus not wearing stocking, the skirt just happened to flip accidentally in front of him. I can guess his first reaction would be a smirk because he likes to smirk =____="""
Me too. I didn't realize this until Reita's Radio jack where he kept teasing Aoi even though he knows Aoi listened to the show, lol.
I think most girls would go for Kai rather than Ruki or Uruha because he looks like the ideal guy for girls. I like Uruha but I know he's the kind of guy that doesn't have the aura of friendliness like Kai, lol
