Comment:
I was indeed surprised with this single because I never thought that Plastic Tree would release such a heavy song for a single. If I'm not mistaken, Akira had mentioned something that it was the first time for them to release a heavy song as a single. But then, let's put that aside.
Judging from the title, I would expect the song would....be spooky?! But it turns out to be a heavy song that makes you feel like headbanging. This is what I actually had in mind when I listened to this song. This is indeed an amazing song and this song will always remained as one of the Plastic Tree's song that I like the most.
Suisai is another thing that makes me feel surprised because the song itself is as heavy as Ghost. Somehow, if you don't like the noisy song like Suisai, I bet Suisai will only makes you feel annoyed instead of enjoying the song. Personally, even though I think Suisai is a noisy song but it's still a great song that can be a complement to Ghost.
Now, instrumental version of Ghost is something that I would want you to pay attention here. I always neglect to listen to the instrumental version because it's not fun to hear and it feels really odd to hear a song without a vocal. Okay, I'm weird. But, according to Akira himself, he said that the instrumental version of Ghost supposed to be the original music. In other words, the complete version of Ghost is absolutely different than the instrumental. Usually, we expect that the instrumental version is the same like the complete version minus the vocal. So, if you haven't got yourself this single, you already missed the chance of listening to the original melody of Ghost.
Personally, I think I love the original melody more than the released version because it sounds more hardcore. The melody itself really reminds me of the jamming session in your own garage. The bass in the original melody is clearer than the released version and even the guitar sounds different. I have never thought that the difference is really big.
Overall, I'm pretty much satisfied with the whole single and the most priceless thing this single can offer to you is the original melody for Ghost. If you're damn curious about this original tune for Ghost, get yourself this single. Also, this is one of the single that I highly recommend for those who have never heard of Plastic Tree before and new fans who want to get to know Plastic Tree more.

Kimi ni Todoke is an anime adapted from the manga. This manga is written by Karuho Shiina. The anime is scheduled to have 24 episodes.
Genres: comedy, romance, slice of life
Theme: school
Synopsis: Kuronuma Sawako is nicknamed Sadako due to her resemblance to the girl from the Japanese horror movies "The Ring". Shunned by her classmates, her life starts to change as she befriends Shota Kazehaya, a very popular boy in her class.
Let me admit it here - when I heard about this anime, I thought that the title sounds really cheesy to me. No offense to the title though, but my first impression about this anime is that it might be some sort of love story kinda anime. Just take a look at the picture itself. It just looks like a typical shoujo anime (If you have been sticking with me, you should have known that I hate shoujo anime...most of it). But then again, I'm still watching it.
Luckily, I dump my weird impression about this anime thanks to the synopsis. I just think that the storyline itself is fascinating. Well, we have heard a lot of common nickname such as stinky, nerd...just to name a few but relating someone who looks like a ghost is pretty much amusing. Not just that, everybody does believe that she has the ability like the real Sadako. I thought that the misunderstanding only does exist in the first episode but it still going through even in the next episode! Well, it really is true that misunderstanding can't be cleared overnight.
If you think this anime is about just the rumor of a creepy-looking girl, you're absolutely wrong about this. I was very surprised with this anime that this anime really have a lot of moral lessons we can learn from. But the main theme about this anime is simply just to create friendship. I just love this kind of story over something romantic kinda storyline. The storyline can be a bit intense and frustrating in the middle as Sawako is trying hard to figure things out herself, but then again, it really does show us this situation really does happen in real life.
Throughout this anime, whenever I saw Sawako in the chibi form, she always reminds me of Sunako from Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge because Sunako is also always in the chibi form. Even their look are also typical - dark long hair with blunt fringe. Sunako and Sawako really does look scary physically so I'm amazed with the same physical traits that these two characters shared.
Also, having the right seiyuu to do the voice acting Sawako is essential to make the character looks alive. In this case, Mamiko Noto (who is the seiyuu of Enma Ai from Jigoku Shoujo) has done a very good job in making the character looks alive. One of the reason why people are scared of her is because of her ghostly voice tone whenever she speaks so I can say that I really like how Mamiko Noto portrayed this character.
To be honest, I haven't finished watching this anime until the latest episode but I would say that the storyline itself is very amusing and touching at the same time. Another anime that I highly recommend you to watch.
Kimi ni Todoke Episode 1
After watching this anime, what is your impression about this anime?
Firstly, before I start with the review, I would like to apologize here for the lack of updates here. There are a lot of book reviews that I'd like to share here but I simply don't have the time to write it here as I haven't even finished reading some of the books. As you can see here that I've been writing manga reviews. I also have thought of writing business related book that I've read but I'm not sure whether to write it or not. So feel free to give your thoughts about it. I have no idea when will be the next update but I'll do my best to update this blog
Anyway, let's proceed with the review. Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is written by Kouji Kumeta. This manga has also been adapted into an anime with many titles - Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Goku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei and Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. You can read Sayonara Zetusbou Sensei anime review here, Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei anime review here, Goku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei anime review here and Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei anime review here. Just to let you know that these reviews are written by me.

Synopsis: revolves around a very pessimistic high school teacher named Nozomu Itoshiki who tries to hang himself on a cherry blossom tree. Despite his best efforts, he is saved by a very optimistic girl known as Kafuka Fuura. She explains to him that it is simply unforgivable to hang himself on a day such a nice day, especially in front of such beautiful trees. She decides to nickname Nozomu "Pink Supervisor," offering to pay him fifty yen to do so. After having enough of the strange girl, Nozomu bolts to the school and starts his homeroom class, but the attempt was in vain as he finds that the girl is one of his students.
Comment:
To be honest with you, I haven't finished reading this manga yet but I just find it really amusing with this manga. The anime is really great because Itoshiki Nozomu's personality is really alive but the manga version isn't so bad after all. Somehow, I just felt that the anime seems faster so sometimes I don't seem to grasp the whole agenda but with manga, you can actually takes time to understand what sort of dilemma he faced (even though I admit his dilemma is totally ridiculous).
As far as the storyline is concerned, of course the storyline is tad similar with the anime but I'm not sure with the later parts of the storyline (let me tell you again that I haven't finished reading this manga yet). Initially, the storyline concentrate on introducing his students (where most of his students have weird habits) but I believe that the later parts of the storyline is a bit fuzzy where the storyline has become random. If my prediction is right, it's just the same with the anime version. What I actually mean random is rather than concentrating on a narrow scope of life, the storyline also focused on social problems occurred in Japan. Well, not necessary Japan alone but it can be throughout the world.
If you think that's boring, reread again how wacky the storyline in the beginning. The wackiness is just the same like in the beginning so you can also expect that whenever they talk about these serious issues, there will always be wacky illustrations and wacky expression. So, at the end of the day, it doesn't look serous after all.
Apart from that, what I really love the most about this manga is definitely the artwork. I might have missed this point in anim but in manga, I'm very much amazed with how you can actually see every single details perfectly. Well, you can say the artwork can be crowded but the details are perfectly.....well detailed. As far as the artwork is concerned, I believe this manga has the best artwork I've ever seen.
Have a look at the artwork yourself here:
Overall, this manga can look pretty much normal on the surface but it's actually not. If you have been diligently watching the anime, you know that it's not the typical comedy anime or mnaga you have encountered. So yes, this manga rocks for its wackiness. Give this manga a try even though you're not really a fan of Kouji Kumeta.
Firstly, I would like to apologize for having such a long hiatus. Okay, you can say that I don't have any anime review to write and you're right about that. Actually, I can't recall what other anime I have watched so there seems to be a huge gap here. But then again, now I'm back with another review. So I hope you enjoy this review (and the anime as well) as much as I do.
Fairy Tail is an anime adapted from the manga which is created by Mashima Hiro. This anime is still an on-going anime when this review is written
Here's Wonderful Wonderholic cover for all versions - regular, limited edition type A and limited edition type B. Sorry for a very small cover pics. I'll update this post when I find bigger (and better) cover pics.
I just received a notification from CDJapan a couple of minutes ago that SuG will re-release all of their singles and albums on February 1. If you're thinking of completing your SuG collection, you can order the re-release of the singles and albums here:
If you have been following their MySpace blog, you should already know that the album is almost finished. So with this in mind, I'm pretty sure that you really want to know the full tracklist for the album. Okay, I'll stop blabbering so here's the tracklist:
Plastic Tree single which is the ED for the anime, Garasu no Kantai. You can read the anime review here. The first press limited edition comes with a postcard.
I see. Thanks a lot *hugs*. All of the info comes from lj actually. But I know that some of us don't have lj account and they don't join the community of the band they're not so fond of.
Yeah, I also didn't get with the labeling. It's just seems....odd. Okay, I'm so sorry because I'm unable to relate the labeling with the DVD content, lol.
Yup, the live seems so fast-paced so it looks like they want to end it so soon~
Actually, it looks like they rush to end it for the DVD version. I believe that the live ends just like how they used to end the live in their previous tour final.
Nah, the bonus DVD is not the reason RCE is better. I personally like the atmosphere in RCE as the atmosphere in RCE was more laidback than in DIM SCENE. It felt so tense in DIM SCENE but it's still a great live.
Yeah, I wish it's something else, not the poster of the cover T___T
If you're looking for something rare once in a blue moon, then it's okay to go and dig other bonuses from other shop. I don't mind not receiving any of those stuff unless the bonus is really dedicated to me, lol.
The drawing inside reminds me of biology book, lol. But the booklet....is awesome *____*
Yeah, their outfits are totally sophisticated. But then again, I don't think that their outfits have toned down because the sophistication is still there. If they really had toned down, I believe they would only wear jeans and t-shirts in the beginning of the live.
The stage really does looks simple but this time around, they've been playing a lot with graphics. In RCE, they've been playing a lot with lighting so this time, they really show us how creative they are.
To be honest, I still think RCE is better even after watching DIM SCENE live. Maybe you will feel that this live is better than RCE if you watch it live but if you watch it on DVD, I just feel like something is missing here. Not to say that the DVD or the live is awful but for the DVD version, they seem like they're rushing to end this live. It makes me cringed a bit about this but overall, it's a great live.
Yes, my DVD has arrived a day after the release date. Sad but true, the poster for the DVD is really the cover of the DVD. I don't mind putting it on the wall but since I hate the cover so badly, I just end up tossing out the poster instead =_____=
Yeah, I also agree with you, Kaita. The cover itself fits together with their outfit. It can be used as another correlation with the cover but again, the only person who knows this better than anyone else is definitely Ruki XD
As far as I understand, King Records is only meant for distributing the singles and albums for them. They don't belong to King Records. I hope you get what I mean.
Actually, I have realized this long time ago but I wasn't really so sure how the actual business is done especially something related with royalty and licensing stuff. After knowing those stuff, I realized this is how showbiz works.
