Whenever you encounter an unfamiliar word, the first thing that you usually do is look up for its meaning. In this article, you will know the definition of entrepreneur. There are many definitions of entrepreneur but sometimes because of the many definitions, you often find it hard to understand even such simple word.

What is an entrepreneur? An entrepreneur is someone who manages and organizes any form of business. In order to understand the definition, you must know about an entrepreneur’s responsibilities. There are many responsibilities but those mentioned in this article are the most important ones.

Some of the responsibilities of an entrepreneur include planning, organizing, staffing, and controlling. These four responsibilities when done properly together will give you high returns in such a short period of time.

To start with, planning is a very important responsibility of any entrepreneur. Good planning is the very first duty that should be fulfilled by an entrepreneur. Oftentimes, an individual has many business intentions. To direct such intentions, you need careful planning. You must plan ahead so that you will know what to expect as you go through the course of the business. You have to plan all your actions and make sure that you follow such plans.

The next responsibility is organizing. In order to attain your specific targets, you must know how to organize especially if you’re handling several departments. This way, you can divide all the work that needs to be done. You don’t have to do all the work as an entrepreneur; you must know how to designate. By work designation, all the jobs are finished on time or even in advance. Not only that, the work are also done properly.

Staffing is another great responsibility of an entrepreneur. Sometimes, you’re burdened with your responsibilities but if you know proper staffing, you can lessen such burden. Through staffing, all the jobs are done properly and there is less possibility of business loss. You must have a competitive staff so that you can entrust the work to them.

Another responsibility of the entrepreneur is controlling. You need to direct, improve, and train employees. All the business plans made by the entrepreneur should be put into order. All the aspects of the business should be controlled by the entrepreneur – from production to inventory, quality checks, and many others. You should be able to monitor all the aspects of the business at all times.

In order to do all your responsibilities as an entrepreneur, you must be an excellent communicator. Good communication is needed so that you can deal with all kinds of individuals. If you’re good in communicating, you can convey all your messages correctly, completely, and clearly. This way, everyone will understand what you’re saying. Aside from being a good communicator, you must also be an excellent listener, writer, and reader.

If you want to become a successful entrepreneur, you must be able to do all the responsibilities mentioned earlier. You need to be a good and rational manager. If you can organize your business organization properly, you will not encounter many problems and you will have higher chances of earning big profits.

Now that you know the different responsibilities of an entrepreneur, you can understand what an entrepreneur really is. If you want to become an entrepreneur, you should determine first if you can handle such responsibilities.

GET TO THE DRIVER SEAT

October 19th 2010 14:59
How to Get into the Driver's Seat of Life (Part 1 of 3)
You do not succeed by blaming other people, the economy, the government, your boss, your staff, your family or your enemies.

No matter how hard you blame others, no matter how convincing the argument and no matter how many people agree with you, blame does not boost your productivity, increase your income or help you reach your goals.
You may think it's good for you to blame your problems on others:
"My boss is to blame. If he wasn't so mean, I'd get a promotion."
"Thanks to my stupid wife, we have no money."
"My parents were alcoholics which is why I have a learning disability."
Excuses are just as bad:

TRY....

"I can't work because my computer has a virus."
"My mother-in-law was visiting that week so I couldn't pay my bills."
"If the weather wasn't so hot, I'd finish the report."
Blame and excuses are simply a problem with . . . .
Responsibility

L. Ron Hubbard has a direct, specific statement about this:
"All real difficulty stems from no responsibility."
This one important fact can represent a turning point for you. "All real difficulties" include your problems with money, businesses, relationships, bosses, employees, family, work and your health.
However, this does not mean you must blame yourself for your difficulties.
Like many people, you might think "responsibility" means "blame." It's not.
"Responsibility" is an entirely different concept.

Definition

"Full responsibility is not fault; it is recognition of being cause." -- L. Ron Hubbard
Being cause means you put yourself in the driver's seat of the problem.
You ask yourself, "How am I causing this problem?"
For example, a boss says to himself, "Employees don't know how to do their work. Okay, so how have I been the cause of this? Oh well maybe it's because I haven't trained them."

Now the boss has a solution. Instead of blaming employees for the problem, he takes responsibility for the problem and fixes it!
Another example: "My husband is an idiot. He's not making enough money, so I have to go to work. Okay, so how have I caused this? Well, maybe if I didn't insist we buy an expensive house we would have enough. I guess I should be willing to go back to work, or agree to a smaller house."
Like magic you calm down and a solution appears.

If you see how you are causing the problem you can then see how you can solve it.
How to Succeed by Taking More Responsibility
First, take responsibility for your problems. What is a difficulty you face? Select one of your problems.
Now decided to be responsible for it.
How have you caused this difficulty in your life?
What did you do that may have started it?
What could you have done differently?

Don't blame anyone. Don't think of excuses. Don't blame yourself. Do not feel shameful. Do not regret it. Simply acknowledge that you caused this problem.
"Full responsibility is not fault; it is recognition of being cause." -- L. Ron Hubbard
If you can figure out how you caused the problem, you win! You are now in charge of it! You can end the difficulty.
Give it a try!
(Next week: More examples and actions you can use to master this powerful concept.)

When Success is Slow

WHAT TO DO WHEN SUCCESS IS SLOW
Your text goes here
Can success be speed up? How can I reach my goals quicker? Is there an antidote to slow outcomes despite arduous planning and actions taken? What is the secret for seeing huge results right now? I get Versions of these questions frequently from people who feel frustrated at sluggish progress in their success journey despite all the know-how and principles they rigorously employ.
But first, let’s get one thing straight…
When we admire someone else’s success or even our own we often focus on the end result and so much on the effort, time, discipline, and setbacks on that it took them to get there. This can often cultivate unrealistic expectations and frustration, the idea that overnight success can happen through careful strategy and execution of sound advice.
Truth be told, success typically follows a series of little events and achievements that include a few disappointments along the way, which challenges everything about you to the core- your stamina, courage, integrity, and even your willingness to going. If you focus on what’s not working, guess what: you’re likely coming from a place of aggravation as your mind wraps around all that is wrong. You may even have negative thoughts like “I’m not good enough,” “it will never work,” or “something must be wrong with me.”
What this does I engender more of these counter-productive feelings. And given what we know about the Law of Attraction, you attract what you are feeling. Negative experiences, people and results will beget more negative experience, people and results. There’s not much success in that. The key, then, is to focus on what IS working. To do so, I recommend two simple practices: Journaling and Meditation.
JOURNALING
Your text goes here
Maintaining a journal (I call it an Evidence Log, Results Journal, or Gratitude Journal) is a great way to steer you attention to the positive and it helps to continually renew your vision for your self. Start each day with reflection on what you are grateful for in your life (list them out!) and end each day with notes on what went right (again write them down), however small.
MEDITATION
Meditation can be a powerful tool for arriving at solutions to problems and shifting your attitude so you can attract success sooner rather than later. The magic of meditation is its ability to essentially shut down the outer layer of your judgmental, highly-critical brain allows your unconscious mind to take over. This is where you enter a deeper state of inner peace and joys, tapping into a higher level of creativity that will help usher in the results you want.
Okay, let’s say you’re doing ALL these things, but you still are not happy with your results…
Then, I’ll ask you: are you taking real ACTION? You may be taking the actions you are used to taking. But therein lies the problem: if you keep doing what you’ve already done then, you will keep getting what you’ve always gotten. It is a matter of practicing some new behaviours. Shake things up a bit and see if you can take new actions or modify existing ones.
