Strike talking
October 19th 2008 15:31
Ive been talking to other drivers lately. So many places dont want to let us show up more than an hour early. They have big fines for trucks parking conveniently. Its like were not welcome in some places. I gues they dont know they would run out of food if we all took a couple of days off.
The talk on the road is that if Obama wins, well have a strike. Im not crazy about my boss, but I dont want to see him go under. This is my paycheck were talking about! The owner operators and small companies will go broke with his crazy taxes. It looks like you make more than you do. If you make 250 grand, theres fuel, repairs, paying the driver, paying all the taxes for every state you run in and being able to live while the trucks run and before you get paid. Theres new trucks every couple of years, too. Obama dont know shit about running a company. If he wins, get ready for the stores to go empty. Cant have it both ways. Either he shuts up, backs off and lets small businesses survive, like us, or we stop working and show him what a disaster is really like.
For that reason alone Id vote for McCain. You better think about it. I am.
