What is wrong with us?

August 1st 2009 19:30
If i walked around in a surgical mask, dangled my kids out of windows, named my son "Blanket", got 8 nose jobs, slept in a hyperbaric chamber, built a kiddie lure carnival in my yard, went to court in my PJ's, was a known child molester, not allowed to set foot in the U.S., was $500,000,000 in dept but payed $100,000 a month for rent, and played with a monkey that I named "Bubbles"....I would get thrown into the nearest funny farm for sure... not getting nation wide publicity, and millions of people mourning the horrific loss of my passing. I would be buried in a dump somewhere with a service attendance of 1, ( that being the guy driving the Bulldozer to cover me up).

A Few =40

A few = Forty. The forty can be anything. Read on and you will understand. I recently took my kids (Daughter of 9, Son of 7) to Walmart to look at toys. They had called me earlier in the day while I was at work to tell me they were ready to cash in their change from their piggybanks. And so, they were going to need to go to Walmart and do a bit of shopping for a few minutes. It was an hour and twenty minutes. 40 minutes apiece. ( by the way, my son had 40$ in change)
Another instance: Getting ready to go out to dinner, visiting friends, party, whatever, I am ready to walk out the door, and my wife tells me she will be ready in just a few minutes, I wait in the car...for 40 minutes. The person in front of me in the 20 items or less isle at Walmart says she has just a few items, yup, you guessed it, shes got about 40. I run down to the store to get a few things for grilling that night, come back with about 40 (milk, eggs, soda, cheese, mayo, beer, bread, potato salad, a new pair of jeans, onions, deoderant, shishkabob skewers, mushrooms, Froot Loops, shampoo, conditioner, two matchbox cars, cucumber, Wavy Lays potato chips, dip, car charger for my phone, crackers, a kiss the cook apron, power steering fluid, lawn darts, garden hose, tin foil, batteries, Guitar hero for XBOX, tissues, inner tube for sons bike, febreeze, dish soap, colored pencils, frozen veggies, and cookies) by the way, I forgot the Charcoal, and wood Chips that originally went for. By the way, my graduating class is have an anniversary party this year, for those of you who havent seen me a awhile, I have put on a few pounds.

Mind gone WalkAbout

July 6th 2009 20:56
Have you ever heard that "what we are defines who we are?" Do you believe it? I don’t. Sometimes what we are on the outside has almost no connection with the person on the inside. How many of us go to a 9-5 job with a commute we hate, in a cubicle we hate, with a boss we hate and a coffee machine that makes coffee we hate. No don’t raise your hand, but maybe if we all did raise our hands at once, we would see that there are a lot of others like. I have met Men, in covered in tattoos, riding a Harley, and sporting a three foot ponytail, who couldn’t wait to tell me that he had shot 4 under par that weekend. I have also met a Man in a three piece and driving a new Beamer tell me that if he had his way, he would be a bush pilot in Alaska. So does the outer make the inner? I think not. This is what I intend to explore...individualism, happiness, human interest. This may go nowhere, but then again...it may take us everywhere. Don’t look for Confusions like sayings, don’t expect any hot tips. Don’t expect that spell check will always be used. All I can say is that I will speak my mind and try to learn more about what makes us tick...and report it to you.
