Stormy Weather
January 18th 2010 00:41
I heard a frog this morning, which in itself is not big news. However, I was told somewhere that when you hear frogs, it usually means rain.
Sure enough, later in the day Mark happened to look out the window in the early afternoon to see a huge build up of clouds from the south. Like all good internet savvy wives I straight away jumped on the BOM (Bureau of Meteorology website for the uninitiated) to check out the radar.
There it was, a digital rainbow of pixels showing the heaviness and mass of clouds heading our way. While I'm inside yelling out to Mark that a big wall of cloud was heading our way, he was standing out on our balcony watching the build up for real. I know, derr factor quite high here.
Attached are a couple of photos I took, glass of red wine in hand, until the wind got so strong I thought I would lose a few precious drops.
Seriously though, the cloud build up looked awesome and the rain that followed seemed to swirl around us. AND I didn't spill a drop.
