Still Here After All These Years

I am in the process of preparing to move, so I am looking for things that I can throw out. I suddenly come across a nostalgic magazine collection from the past, and the magazine is no longer in print. You might remember Yahoo Internet Life magazine!
This was the original internet magazine, loaded with information and sites for everybody. So I decided to see if any sites are still around and still doing what the magazine described. I have years of these mags, so I may continue on this quest. But for now let me pick a few at random.
Airtoons was a parody of airline safety cards back in the September 2001 issue and is still up and running.
In September 2000, the prices may have changed a bit, but Buy and Hold is still a place to buy stocks for a bargain price!
In May 2001, in an article about Weblogs, we are introduced to Blogger.
In February 2001, Monica Lewinsky was on the cover as a web entrepreneur. Still working today is a site that ladies may appreciate called Virtual Makeover.
In June 2001...must be a theme!...a site that I am shocked is still around today is The Woodcutter!
March 2001 was loaded with sites, it even had their staffs' favorites. Where better to search for your roots than Rootsweb.com?
Finally, in August 2000, Culture Connect still collects stories, photos and web can images from around the world.
Yes there were some domains that either no longer exist or are different service than in the magazines. Still many still are up and running!
