What is special to you?February 15th 2009 08:17
As Valentine's Day passes by once again, you think for a second as your night almost ends with your bf/gf/husband/wife or partner - Is Valentine's Day overrated?
I, myself enjoyed a night with all things going wrong, or not as I had hoped and then realsed I was quite upset by the end of the night. I am a romantic, but even though things do go wrong, you're still with that person right? My partner had to jolt me back to reality and it did make me realise it's just another day that EVERYONE celebrates. What is special are moments that only you can cherish with your loved one. So ladies..if things go wrong (like you wern't impressed with the card or you were too late getting to an event), you still have each other.
Dukes Of Windsor- Minus (new album)September 24th 2008 02:23
[COLOR=Lime]Dukes Of Windsor:
Minus Remembering the days when I would hear ‘The Others, feat. TV Rock’ on the dance floor amongst the housey beats was a memory of enjoying those house tunes and dancing like a maniac, being a young excited teen. It was a favourite on the dance floors for quite a while. The Dukes Of Windsor have come a long way since first releasing this single in 2007. Hearing their newest album ‘Minus’ is a whole new fresh approach. These guys have made a huge leap into the indie/electro/pop genre, and it works! They have attitude, catchy guitar rifts, and sounding like a band but with a pop feel, stripping their house look and are now showing off their new indie/electro look. Their next track ‘It’s A War’ felt like it was being air-played constantly and they have used this track to catapult their latest album and new sound. Making an impression straight away with their first single ‘No Disguise’ expresses a hard rock beat with strong lyrics making you wanting more and actually listen to the rest of the cd. Their album has such a diverse sound and melody from dark to uplifting, to electro right back to indie/alternative. With bands like Infusion and the Presets who have mastered the combination of alternative, electronic and pop, there are definitely influences of these guys oozing through these new tunes. It is refreshing to hear something different from guys who started out in the house genre, showing they’ve got what it takes to succeed in the music industry and give themselves an individual look and sound.

Carolina Liar- I’m not over
This new single is fresh, melodic and suits a Sunday afternoon. There are definite hints of The Dandy Warhols and New Order’s latest sounds oozing through this track. There are beautiful and clear vocals sung throughout with a story about not being over his latest love. Great tune
Hot reviews for some newly released albums/singles!!August 3rd 2008 01:46
Tina Arena's new album- Songs of love and loss
Tina gives once again another stunning performance with her own personal and unique sound to each song about love and loss. Classic and sophisticated, this album is perfect for a glass of wine for two, or just relaxing watching the sun go down. The album expresses songs, which had meaning and were timeless, and Tina gives us that modern twist. It is perfect for the weekend wind down.
Do you fit in to suit other people or fit in to suit yourself?March 26th 2008 04:41
Do you fit in to suit other people or fit in to suit yourself?
Do you often see the same handbags and the same shoes, even the same hairstyles? Trends are everywhere! Predominantly teenagers have all these similarities and more! Their mobile phones and ipods are attached at the hip! Why should a 14 year old feel worried about going to school because they haven’t bought the latest fad? Why should we need to buy materialistic things to make ourselves feel good or to be part of something? The pressure to look a certain way and buy certain things is becoming out of control!
why do people read their horoscope in the newspaper?March 24th 2008 11:54
I realised that every time I bought a newspaper, I read my horoscope.
I don’t believe in them, so why bother? Surely there are people who are subconsciously intrigued and read them religiously. Is it the curiousness of what they might “predict?” All I know is I waste five minutes on the train.
