What an awful, terrible thug he was, that school bully, Tod Towkshead!

He made my life a horrible misery for months on end, until finally he got expelled a few weeks before the end of my final year and I was able to complete my last stint in relative peace and comfort, though the nightmares never disappeared.

Break Time

I remember the time Big Hardy, the hardest lad in the school, asked me if I wanted to be chucked down the goz pit and gozzed over.

Well, I had a few minutes to spare before end of break so I was only too happy to oblige the chap, especially as he asked me so politely with his arm round my neck!

Superhero

My form teacher was called Mr Blenkinsopp. They must not have paid him much because his trousers were covered in patches. He seemed a very sensible and conscientious teacher but then one night, through my bedroom window at home, I saw a familiar figure with batwings and a superhero suit flying through the air. It turned out my form teacher was actually a nightime superhero but I kept his thrilling secret safe throughout my schooldays and even helped him out on ocassions in his crime fighting adventures!

First Day

I recall my first day at Honeywell Secondary School. Morning break was spent being chucked down the banking into the stinging nettles, lunchtime with my head flushed down the bogs, then afternoon break brought a visit to the goz pit. Quite a pleasant day, all told! At least we had no homework.
