Steam Sales!

It happens a few times a year, a magical time that makes little economic sense on the side of the seller, but allows for big savings. I am of course talking about Steam Sales. They are remarkable, and I just wanted to take the time and pay them tribute.
I use steam quite often, and I love their sales and giveaways. I like how everything is laid out on their app for easy navigation and playing your own games. The community is thriving and almost never do I find a server that is vacant. They have great bundle deals and have a huge selection of indie games. Steam even has older games that you may have forgotten about.
Besides hearing my praises for Steam they have something that puzzles, but excites me. Steam offers up deals, and when I say that I am talking about some serious deep discounts. I am confused because it makes almost no sense to offer discounts so drastic to so many games that are technically not tangible. The idea of a sale is to get rid of something that you have a great quantity of, or getting people in the store so they will also buy something else that is not on sale. Steam offers neither one of these; the games are not tangible and are in fact nothing more than lines of code that take up no space, and the steam store is able to be navigated to find exactly what you want and not take a look at anything else. I may not me an economist, but that just seems to make very little sense. On the other hand, why the hell am I complaining? I am getting great games for a fraction of the cost. Not only that, but Steam also has raffles that does around these times to give away even more games. Steam is a great example to show how PC gaming is alive and well, and takes care of its customers even better than some consoles. The Steam sales, and steam service is great, if you don't have it get it here!, and look me me up on it.
Good shopping and gaming out there!
